We had some significant landscaping done last year & as a side effect of this work there were areas that needed the soil augmented. I mixed this vermiculite with composite to create an excellent mix when added to the existing soil. This area is on a hill & the vermiculite seems to help reduce the soil erosion we have experienced in the past.

I mixed this organic vermiculite: one part vermiculite, nine parts compost to make up a very rich amendment for the existing soil in our back yard flower garden. One enormous benefit for us is that this mixture retains a huge amount of water & doesn't easily wash away. We are very happy with the results.

This is a great product, it makes all types of soil light & fluffy. Great for starts, and strong roots. Makes a huge difference with all veggie garden growth, but especially root veggies. All of my plants were started from seed and are thriving in their containers due to the addition of this vermiculite. The shipping from HD was fast, even with all the delays, and the packaging was in good condition.
It great for raised bed. I wish you had the coarse kind. And the price is reasonable.

I used this to make Mel's Mix. The product is as advertised. It looses one star because it's a little pricey. Larger amounts are usually cheaper, but hard to find. Great product for potting fruits. Veggies and herbs as well as ornamentals, etc. mix with your choice of soils and ato planter or pots to lighten up the load and help keep moist and aerated!
