Vigoro Vermiculite is an excellent product for aerating soil. I am using it for my raised bed garden along with Peat Moss and compost. The Home Depot was the only place I could find it, and shipping was free!

I haven't used this yet but I am guessing it will be fine. I do appreciate that I could order a larger size online.

Huge price increase
This is overall a solid product, but the price just jumped from $22 all the way to $49.99 within the last month. For $50, you can get twice as much of a better quality from your local nursery (usually sold in a 4 cu ft bag for $35-50 there). It was a great value at $20-25, but with the almost 150% price increase I just can't recommend.

It’s good at holding moisture. I make my own starting mix for germination and it works well

Price Doubled in One Month
I bought several of the 2 cf bags twice before for my raised garden beds. It's a great product at what used to be a decent price but they raised the price from $22 to $50. At more than double the price a month ago, I won't be purchasing the Vigoro vermiculate again.

I'm so happy I bought this. It has some coarseness to it....definitely not fine. I like it so much that I wanted to buy another bag but the price has doubled. Maybe it will be on sale again.

I make my own seed starter mix with one 8-quart bag of Vigoro vermiculite, one 8-quart block of Burpee coconut coir, and one 6-pound bag of Earthworm Castings Plant Food.

For my purposes it works great. I use it mostly in making my own seed starting mix. The small particle size makes mixed in with peat moss makes a good mix. I also use it in my up pot mix.
