The red rubber mulch is doing an excellent job. The mulch is helping the soil maintain it's moisture after watering and provides the style and landscape that I wanted.

In an earlier review I shared that one of the two pallets of mulch were not colored. While the first few inches were mocha brown the balance were poorly colored if at all. If you are going to order more than one you may have the same issue.

I'm very disappointed in the mulch we received. It was advertised that it "provides a safe surface for playgrounds". Once we started spreading it out on our playground, I realized it was FULL of rocks. This really upset me, but what upset me the most was that I found a piece of glass. I also found several chunks of metal and other unknown objects. It was too late to bag it all back up since it was mixed with the mulch we already had. This is not great for playgrounds as I found numerous objects that could easily slice a child's foot open. When you pay nearly $800 for mulch, you would expect a very high quality product and this is not.

Product delivered to driveway in large bag on a pallet. I cut a slit about 3 feet up the side so product would spill out for shoveling into wheelbarrows. It took about 30 trips to move all to back yard. Not heavy in wheelbarrow. Cedar color looks good, will see how long it lasts in AZ sun. Filled 14x22 foot area 3 inches deep as described on website. Feels soft to walk on and will definitely help reduce injury from falls. Had some left over to mulch 2 tree rings, that area looks much better now. Would recommend this purchase for play area or landscaping.

We bought this for our outdoor swingset. Took about 2-3 weeks to be delivered but was delivered well. Deivered on a skid but they couldn’t get it on the driveway (too heavy) so they had to deliver it at the curb. A lot bigger than I thought. I’m 5’2” and it was as tall as me!

From start to finish this project probably took 2.5 weeks. I laid all the landscaping fabric, the borders, and alllll 2000lbs of rubber mulch by myself. The mulch was delivered in my driveway but luckily I had a wagon and shovel and ladder to get the job done. I’m 5’2, 35, and weigh 130.... if I can do it by myself then I’m sure anyone can

Not exactly what I had expected. Large chunks of rubber do not really resemble mulch. I used this in my flowers beds and cannot tell the difference from a distance. This product is advertised for children's playgrounds, I would NOT recommend it for such use. These rubber chunks are literally ground up tires. Tires have metal wires in them and some of these chunks still had these wires in them. I know because I got a few stuck in my fingers (through my gloves) while spreading it out in my flower bed. Also, this is not the ideal package to be delivered (50lb bags would be much easier to use). This large sack was delivered on a box truck with only a hand pallet jack to move it. Driver was unable to move it into my yard or driveway and had to leave it in the road. I can imagine this could cause someone quite a bit of trouble. Overall, it does the job for a flower bed, but not an ideal purchase. Keep it away from playgrounds.

I absolutely love this rubber mulch. If its in your budget, do not hesitate. It will be worth it!

This is absolutely worth the money. It is comfortable (under our play-set for the kiddos), looks fantastic, and is so durable!

We bought this 7.5 years ago, we re-did our flower beds and back garden so we needed more to fill it up ! This product is great color last and doesn't float away in the rain !

After building a playset for my granddaughter, I purchsed the Vigoro rubber mulch. Rubber mulch provides an incrediblly soft surface in case of a fall. This reduces the chances of serious injury(see internet for verification). Home Depot had the best price I could find and Vigoro did not disappoint. The color was as advertised and the size was perfect for the playground. I can feel the cushion when I walked on the rubber mulch and it looks like a professional did it. I highly recommend this product.

The color was significantly better than I thought. I was worried it looked a little orange in the picture, but when it arrived it was a perfect brown shade. Super pleased.

Mulch was brown NOT Red!!! Do to timing on project I had to use do to the length of time it would have had a replacement and could not get someone from Home Depot to help. Bulk packing had red hand written on the side. I took sample of the mulch to Home Depot and it was the same color as the bagged BROWN mulch.

Mocha brown mulch was exactly as described. ordered the 2k lbs. and will be ordering more to finish my yard.

The delivery person was sent alone with an unsecured, crockedly wrapped, untied bag of much. He spilled 2000 lbs of mulch on my lawn. Then claimed to have no way to move it, no one to call for help. I’m a 5’2” single mom. I tried to use my truck to drag what i could out of the lawn, and damaged my vehicle and popped a tire on his liftgate, when he tried to hydrolic lift it as i was backing! Horrible experience.

Delivered on a pallet and is literally placed in the street so workers need to be ready to go. The color is gorgeous. So vibrant and brightens my yard.

Perfect for kids playground!

This product is great but is very pricey. I need 7 of the 76.9 cu feet pallets which is around $5k once you include tax and delivery. By comparison this would equal 12.5 pinestraw installations. I usually layed straw 2 times a year and it cost me $400 a pop. So if this rubber product last 12 years as labeled it will pay for itself twice over. Delivery of the pallets was great and I highly recommend. I have a large circle driveway so the driver positioned them as i ask to limit travel time on laying the mulch.

I will revise this review once the mulch is down, but when my 4000 pounds of rubber mulch arrived today, I was underwhelmed. First, the color. It is NOT nice and black like the photoshopped photographs on this website. It's a grey-black, fluffy tire shard. I can't see where there was any attempt at dying/coloring this stuff black. It's just "used tire color." So I think I'll be calling them about their "12 year color guarantee" at some point down the road. Second, was the delivery, which is iffy with a truck coming into a residential neighborhood and you don't have a forklift. They called a few days before and said their liftgate capacity was under the 2000 pounds needed to get this stuff off. They figured it out. When I get it put down, hopefully I'll be more impressed. I wanted something that really contrasted with the white of the house paint, and I don't think this will do it. What was PICTURED would have done it, but this ain't that.

This product is very good clean no mess,kids love it

Up close each piece does indeed look like what it is (shredded tire), but spread out as mulch in borders surrounding the house it looks amazing!

The mulch looks great! Covered a large area. I would recommend a better delivery method! Had to leave it on the curb. Would recommend a forklift that can at least get it in the driveway. Very happy with the product!

Heavy shredded tires are dyed and sent as one big 2000 pound bag on a pallet. Delivery was good and communication excellent. The mulch was placed around my house and first I laid down weed barrier. My entire house has 4 foot beds going around it. 15,000 square feet to be exact. The mulch made it at around 1 to 1.5 inches think. Looks really nice but it is expensive. I purchased this because it does not attract bugs and it holds color for 12 years. Additionally, it is eco friendly in the fact that it uses recycled tires. What other use is there for these other than land fills. I believe the product should be cheaper but I will not have to lay mulch for many years to come.

EXPENSIVE. I can't believe I paid this much for under my kids playset.... but the money is forgotten and now I have an AMAZING final product. Very safe under the swings, color is very vibrant and should stay looking great. Once you're over sticker shock it's worth the extra. I was a little disappointed that delivery was just curbside. Home depot delivery's come with that spider forklift, I wasn't expecting to have to wheel barrow 4,000lbs of mulch 200'... but this memory too came and went like the cost. Doing it again I'd see about having it delivered to store and see if the local guy could deliver it to get it closer to the project.
