Simple yet functional, a must have for my little veggie garden. I like that they are biodegradable. Enough for the plastic junk. I let my grand kids to write the names and put them down next to the plants. They enjoy the activity.

These are a useful, sustainable addition to a gardener’s toolkit. Because bamboo is a vigorous-growing grass, the stakes require little petroleum to produce and deliver. The stakes are sturdy and provide a fairly smooth writing surface. I tried writing on it with a No. 2 pencil, a grease pencil and a permanent marker. All worked well. I prefer the permanent marker. The bamboo is nonporous so the ink didn’t bleed. In my experience, exposed to the elements, the bamboo will change from tan to grey, but my markings will remain.

I've been using popcicle sticks to mark the garden for years. Both popcicle sticks and these bamboo sticks have their pros and cons. The popcicle sticks break down and become mulch fast, they're also very easy to write on with any utensil... but they are very skinny and hard to write on. The bamboo sticks are much thicker and easier to write on... but they only do well with markers (not pens) and take some time to dry before they can be handled. You can't go wrong with either option.

Great option for the natural gardener who is not interested in wasting plastic. I wrote on my stakes with permanent marker and the labels have held up fine with multiple waterings. They are smooth and easy to write on and stick easily in the ground. I'm personally partial to the look of wood and other natural items in my garden and yard, so I would definitely recommend these over plastic ones. If you don't need it, just toss it because it will biodegrade (whereas plastic will take 500 years, give or take).

Pros Great Quality

This review is for Vigoro Bamboo Plant Labels (Model # T020BVG). I grow fruits and vegetable in my garden every year. There are about two dozen varieties so I need labeling. I like these labels because they are biodegradable, not like the ones made of plastic. So at the end of the season I can just leave them in the soil and let them mulch with fallen leaves.

The Bamboo Plant labels from Vigoro are very functional and an easy way to label plants in the garden. These are 6" tall and 1/2" wide. This makes them very sturdy when placed in the dirt. It's easy to use a permanent marker to write the plant name or you can print off labels. These are a great value for the 24 count in a package. Happy Gardening!.

These are so inexpensive that we end up picking up a pack every year. It really helps identify all of the seedlings we move into the gardens, but i also use them to help with marking and layout. I cut a small notch in the stake and wrap some twine around it to layout curves and straight lines along the edge of the gardens. Great purchase for miscellaneous garden usage.

These bamboo plant labels are nice they are about six inches long and are sturdy enough to stick into the garden bed. You can use a permeant marker to write on them to remind you what your plants are and you can reuse them again by turning them over use the backside or take white out over the plant name and put the new plant name on them. these bamboo sticks are very nice and very sturdy you want go wrong in getting them.
