Horrible
I bought the 5770 model 2 yrs ago. Nothing g but problems. I've had to replace the auger 2 yrs in a row. Last year I had to replace the main circuit board. I wished I would of bought a different brand.

    Excellent Stove
This stove is amazing. We have owned two. The first stove we included in the sale of our home. It was such a great stove that we bought the same one for our new house. It puts out serious heat. What you get from the stove is dependent on your comprehension of how to use the dampener, and the pellets you buy. If you buy garbage pellets like green supreme, it's gonna aggravate you. If you buy a quality pellet and learn how to properly use the dampener, you will wish you bought it years ago.

      A heating beast
So I've read reviews on it produces to much ash or glass gets dirty , it has manual damper which means you have to adjust 24 / 7 and the craziness goes on .. I have had the 5790 4 yrs now. It runs from October thru May .People who buy wood stores or pellet stoves who never owned one think they should work like a natural gas Burnet or electric heater without any maintenance. Yes if you burn something in a container that's airtight with a glass window eventually it will get dirty from combustion. .. No you do not need to constantly change settings on air dampener. Kindly study or educate yourself on oxygen and air flow mix to a burning 🔥 air tight source . Yes you must clean once a week or even 2x a week . Remember it's burning wood not natural gas or oil etc . Most problems are self inflicted . If you never used wood burning stoves I suggest you train and learn by the many videos. I live in Maine it gets cold and rhis stove has never ever let me down .

i own two of these, found they work great with a better grade pellet. mine hats cheap chain store pellets. makes nothing but a pile of ash. when running good quality pellets seems to run fine. yes you have to vacum it out.Over all if you dont like cleaning it out and wash door class this isnt for you. Im very happy with my 2 i have one in basement and upstairs.

          JUNK
This stove is absolute garbage. I’ve had mine just over a year and it has created more problems than it has created heat.It needs constant cleaning which can only be achieved using an air compressor inside and a leaf blower connected to the chimney pipe. I have replaced more parts than I can count and again it’s only been in use a little over a year. I bought a pelpro 130 to replace this, it’s flawless and half the price. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this boat anchor.

you get what you pay for
well, my budget was small this year so I went with this cheaper pellet stove. I shouldn't have. it's quality compared to the others is horrible. it spills pellets out of the pot wasting them. but I needed heat in my home so I can't change it now. I'd really look at one of these before you buy so you can physically see it.

              Just listen....
This stove takes time and patience to understand. This stove requires PATIENCE... with this being said..shop vac to clean it..I highly suggest this. This is my 2nd year with the stove and the issue that we've had was the ignition switch going bad. We also had over filling of pellets. Now that's a disaster when that happens. We purchased a ash vac.. unfortunately it's a no go. This heats our 1500sq ft house with no problem. 77 degrees...currently its 16 degrees outside. The amount of ash this needs to be cleaned weekly. If you aren't producing a lot of ash you have a problem. So.. use a shop vac..open the sides as well. 77 degrees in my house with it on level 3 and its 16 degrees out. But heck..I like it 80 ...good luck..

Truly worthless product and customer service
The description is done by a fictional author. This unit is probably ok to heat under 500 sq ft to 60 degrees if given ample time. There is no sensors that adjust the heating to gain or reduce heat being produced. It just sits there and drops pellets into a hopper. It doesn't already air intake or pellet intake, it just sits there and drops jackets into a hopper. It had a "thermostat" mode that lets you set a desired temperature, but it doesn't matter what temperature you set it to. If you set it to 100 or 32, doesn't matter, it just sits there and drops pellets into a hopper. THIS UNIT JUST SITS THERE AND DROPS PELLETS INTO A HOPPER. You might think, "that's alright, that's basically what it's supposed to do." Yes, but if it drops too many pellets for the current air intake (which you have to guess and how for the best as it's just a black lever on the back that has no scale), it doesn't adjust. It just drops pellets until it smothers fire and overflows until it errors out. If the unit is burning too fast (possibly too much air intake or pellets not dropping fast enough), the unit doesn't adjust. It just burns up the pellets until fire goes out, then overflows the hopper until it errors out. If you call or email Vogelzang, like I have, they don't return any of such contact. Do yourself a favor, don't buy this unit. I doubt other Vogelzang products are up to snuff, but don't know for sure. Also, pellets stoves are cheap, but you may want to go another direction if you really want a somewhat reliable heat source. I hope this helps somebody steer clear of this disaster of a product.

                  awful product with continuos problems
We bough this stove almost a year ago and have replaced the exhaust blower twice, the auger 4 times, and the thermodisc once. They should replace this stove but refuse to. It takes about a week each time you need a part so dont count on it as a main source of heat.

                    120 pounds, that’s a lot of pellets!
The main reason i bought this stove was the fact that it will hold 3 bags of pellets. It makes a lot of heat and i have had it run 3 days without refilling. It only gets four stars because of the lack of a removable ash pan ( you must have a funance vacuum not a shop vac) and if you want to watch the flame, you have to clean the glass daily but it will still ash over in a few hours. Would i purchase it again? Oh yes, yes indeed.

This stove has a manual air intake system which means, for those of you who have never purchased or used a pellet stove before, someone has to constantly adjust the airflow in order to regulate the amount of heat the stove produces. If the stove is not constantly monitored, it runs non-stop, wasting pellets. Also, the stove's manual states that the stove is not intended for use as a primary heat source. Unfortunately, this made the stove useless for my needs.

We apologize for any misconception with our unit prior to purchasing, however we recommend this not being your primary source of heat in case of malfunction or issues that arise. It is a safety concern we have for our customers in case of issues arising and being without heat until the issue is resolving by either a technician or technical support offered over the phone. The manual airflow intake is to help in conjunction with the thermostat system on the unit. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 1-800-750-2723. Vogelzang

I bought this stove for its bigger hopper. The one I had only took 40 lbs. and this one will take 100 lbs or 2 and a half bags not the 120 as stated in the ad, but it still works for me. It really puts out the heat, the heat vent spreads the heat out perfect and heats the down stairs and up stairs of our house. The only real neg I can say about the stove is the ash tray does not come out, you have to open the right and left sides to scoop out the ash, the sides are hinged and latched and work well, but I use a pellet stove vacuum to clean out the tray. All in all the stove rocks and does what it is made to do and I am happy with it.

The unit did not work when first installed. Had to wait until Monday to talk to the company, after a week I had the new circuit board to fix the unit. Besides that it works great.
