Stand by generator for the house.
The generator can run my entire house, which in regular use without the A/C system consumes 2300 watts. When my 5 Ton Rheem A/C working consumes around 5100 watts total. The inrush amps when the A/C compressor starts are 162 amps. I set up my Wen generator about 25' from the house main breakers panel with a 50 amp 250V power outlet box that I connect with a 6/4 SOOW portable cord from the generator. The generator is running on propane, but natural gas is the way to go since it is always available regardless of flooding, hurricane or a winter storm. I am pleased with the performance of this generator, I purchased it as an emergency generator for the essentials but it proved that is capable of more. Noise will be an issue, so be prepared to build an enclosure to mitigate the sound.

I have only started the generator and let it run for a 1.5 hrs. . Haven't put a load on it yet? This is a review before it's used in a combat zone?

up date
Made a permanent set up for engine exhaust. This is part two from first post. Had one test run to date. Some dude modified a power pole. About a four hour run time. I sill had to get a inverter in / inverter out ups for the lift. chair. I have a 60 hour fuel supply by the numbers given. One lighting circuit is still on the main panel to let me know when electric power is restored..

2 Year review
This is a 2 year follow up review on the Wen DF11000 that we purchased in 2018 did my original review Dec 4 2018. Our first review gives more back story but we basically bought this generator as over kill for our camper backup as we lived in it and built our new house. Then the plan was to use the DF11000 for backup on the new house. The generator has worked excellent for both. While in our 5th wheel 30 amp service camper we lost power several times with one being for 36 hours. Ran camper and well pump without breaking a sweat. We are now in the house but have had a to use the generator twice this summer for two 12 hour outages and this week we are without power due to hurricane Zeta. At this point the outage is at 36 hours and power company is saying we can expect to be out for another 36. Generator has been doing great. Running 2 hours in the morning, two hours around midday and 4 hours in the evening. Mostly being run on propane and getting 4.5 hrs out of a 20lbs tank. Here are the specs of our set up and what the generator is running. I wired our house and installed a 50 amp Reliance inlet box along with an interlok to protect the main and generator from being on at the same time. This allows me to pick and choose what we run. At one time we can run our first floor 3 ton variable speed AC, well pump, 2 fridges, all of our lights (LED) and all our outlets. We swap back and forth on the upstairs 2 ton variable speed system and the downstairs as needed. We don’t run the dryer and the hot water and stove are natural gas. I bought the Champion Storm Shield to protect it and it also has done great. I also used an RV change over regulator to allow me to have two tanks hooked up at once so I can fully drain a tank without worrying about the generator shutting off. I know that there is a lot here but I hope it helps someone.

Solid generator
Purchased this a few months ago but didnt get to use it until we had some bad weather recently and i have to say im pretty impressed, I ran a refrigerator, my neighbors 2 freezers, ac wall unit, fan, 2 lights and charged 2 phones at once for close to 48 hours straight stopping only to refuel, it ran flawlessly

The product was purchased via Home Depot online and shipped to store. The shipping arrived on-time and the pickup process was very straightforward. The WEN product preparation instructions are clear, except the part of the oil filling, which is a bit confusing. Be aware that the generator should not be tilted as it can overfill. My kind neighbor borrowed a propane tank so to test and it fired-up flawlessly. I hope I can say the same the next time is needed, Although is heavier than I thought, it does meet my expectations.

This was bought to run my whole house in case the power was to go out, using an interlock on the main breaker box its just as simple as start the Generator with a turn of the key plug in the power cord to the generator into the inlet box on the side of the house then using the interlock switch by turning off the main breaker move the interlock into position and turn on the generator breaker and wa la powering the whole house, I turn off the water heater breaker because it draws about half the wattage other then that it runs everything ells with no problems.
