I really needed a stool for my work bench, but didn't want to spend a lot of money and have to explain that to my wife. This Wen 300 lb capacity chrome-plated shop bar stool was just what I was looking for. It's the perfect height and the seat is very comfortable. The swivel is perfect. I was a little worried when I was putting it together that it wouldn't be level, but those fears were unfounded. None of this stool is assembled ahead of time so you have to put it all together. The legs and round foot bar are the hardest part to assemble. You have to keep the legs held together in a vertical position while you slip the round bar over the top, and then you insert the screws through the bar and into the legs without letting it move too much on you. It wobbled a little from side to side once it was assembled, but without the stool cushion installed. Once the swivel plate and cushion were installed and I sat on it, there was no out-of-level wobbling. I was very pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it is, and even though it's not the easiest thing to assemble it's well worth it.

Wen you want sorta decent quality this'll do. it's pretty cheaply made and very apparent. wobbles when no weight is on it, fine when you sit down thankfully. they couldn't even bother to center up the logo, who are these people?!

Description was very misleading on amount of cushioning. Says 3-3/4" thick but the amount of padding is 3/4" with 3" of wood. Bottom ring was overground and weld was virtually nonexistent and cracked the first time it was stepped on. Tried contacting Wen via phone, email and facebook to get a replacement ring and all attempts fell on deaf ears. Returned to store.

Chrome Plated WEN logo'd Bar Stool. The large WEN logo and the chrome finish gives this stool a nice industrial look. Good for your bar or workbench. Has a thick cushion seat for comfort. Seat swivels but is not height adjustible so make sure it's the right height for your use. (29 inches) Has rubber foot pads to prevent slippage on the floor. You will need a Philips Head screwdriver and an adjustable wrench for assembly. Used locking nuts so you have to hold the nuts to tighten the screws. I have some weakness in my legs so I use stools at each of my work stations.

I have a few WEN products already so when the Home Depot Seeds Program offered this WEN Bar Stool, I knew it would be perfect for the garage work bench, so I selected it. Wen followed up by shipping it quickly to me, and well packaged. The stool arrived safely and with no issues. The bench is in need of assembly. There is nothing difficult to it. The instructions are well written and you just need to match up the parts accordingly. The only tools you need is a wrench and a large flat head screwdriver. Use of a power drill is not recommended with the enclosed hardware. The stool has two sets of legs, which lay over one another. There is a foot rest ring which simply slides over and is attached with the bolts. The stool has a 360* swivel mechanism which is easy to attach to the frame and easy to attach to the bottom of the stool. I recommend putting all the bolts in place with the lock nuts hand tightened till it stops. Once all are in place, then you can start to tighten things up. Everything will align nicely. The cushion sits high, a little taller than 4". Depending on your weight it will comfort you for a while. I'm a bigger guy and so after a little while I started to feel the bottom of the seat, but it did not hurt me. The stool is comfortable and swivels nicely, freely, and easily. The fit and finish of this stool is there. Its very attractive with the chrome / black / orange combination. It's comfortable. It easy to sit on and get off of. Construction is easy and spot on. No issues here. Happy to have this stool. I rate this WEN Stool 5*s out of 5. Thank you WEN for allowing me to try your product. Thank you Home Depot for offering this item to me.

I assembled my new Wen Chrome-Plated Shop Bar Stool today and I will enjoy having a place to sit and think in my shop. The stool was easy to assemble and took about 10 minutes to complete. The first step is to place the ring around the legs and insert and tighten the 10 mm bolts, nuts and washers (4 each). The next step is to install the swivel on top of the stool with 4 additional 10 mm bolts, nuts and washers (shorter in length). The final step is to place the seat on the floor upside down and invert the frame and install four screws which fasten the seat to the swivel. Be careful to protect the beautiful seat from getting scuffed in the last step. The frame is nicely chromed however I was able to see grind marks at the weld point on the foot ring through the chrome (only reason for 4 stars for quality). At this point, you can turn the stool right side up, sit down and ponder your next project in the shop. The seat is firm but well-padded and comfortable. The stool has a 300 lb. rating and makes you feel secure as you swivel around looking for your next project. The seat is attractive and would look good in any man cave. I would recommend the stool to a friend.

If you need a shop stool-get this one. My old stool was shot so when I saw this stool from Wen, I had to get it. (I have a Wen 3 shelf rolling cart and love it!) Since this stool can hold up to 300 lb I knew I had to have it. The parts are high quality, comes with a 2 year warranty and the seat swivels smooth as glass. The only thing I noticed when I assembled it was there was a slight wobble to it. I took off the plastic caps on the two shorter legs and put a metal washer in each of the caps and replaced them. Perfect. The stool is built to last and I would expect nothing less. If you are in the market for a shop stool or just want to surprise your DIY'er, go to Home Depot. Home Depot and Wen make a great team.

Ah the bar stool can't have a good barbecue without a place to sit. This was really easy to put together. If you can use tinker toy blocks to build then you won't need instructions,  which are included and are well written. I used a power screwdriver and basic small house hold pliers, took 20mins including the time to open and remove it from the box. The height is perfect also for a  bar stool padding a little less then I would like to have but it is ok.

I bought four of these and in each case the legs had to be forced into position with clamps during assembly to get the bolt holes close enough to get the nuts started. Once assembled, they are well padded, very comfortable, and stable. Price was great and I would definitely buy again if I needed more.

This is a great addition to my shop. It looks great and has a nicely padded top. The pad looks thicker than it really is as the padding is only 3/4 ". I have included photos. I would have given this stool 5 stars except for two issues that I believe reflects on average quality. First the holes for attaching the rings are punched through and not drilled. The problem was the punched tabs for the holes were not punched completely through. This made getting the bolts through difficult. Secondly, as you can see in the photos there was some grinding done on a weld that almost completely ground through the weld. Eventually the weld will fail, and the stool may become unusable. For the price however, I still like the stool.

Chair went together well and is pretty strong. Comfortable and looks great!

Arrived on time. Easy to assemble. Like that seat swivels.

Cheap, poorly manufactured, no QC... I understand it's not a super high end stool but it would be fine if they would just put a tad more effort into it... Mine has uneven legs, I think it was machined incorrectly, two are about 3/8 higher than the other so it wobbles like crazy. The "WEN" image on the seat was also way off, not at all centered so it looks weird. Customer service also does not respond to service requests, they must be very busy.

Nice quality, rugged construction, good value.

the stool itself ( once assembled ) is fantastic, but the screws and nuts utilized for assembly are junk, trash, and garbage plus misaligned holes that are drilled in a haphazard manner make assembly an interesting feat. This is not my first Wen product (own planer, drill press, drills, router and few others, but this item I would not recommend.
