Worked once. No suction after that.

I installed a small dust collection system in my garage. Table saw and miter saw. No more than 11 feet from collector. Let’s just say my small shop vac does a better job. Would not buy this again. After 2 weeks I’m looking for a better system.

Very effective for my four drops in our wood shop. It is loud but does the job for $100 and a few hours of hanging 4-inch plastic drain pipe to complete installation. I probably will upgrade in a year or two but this is doing a very respectable job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Good value for price and collects the dust I needed it to. I created a shroud over my table saw blade to pick up sawdust thrown up by the blade. This collector captures 95% of that dust. So I am happy. Not enough volume to hook up to the saw's lower collection point, as too many holes in the saw base, but it really works for the top dust which was filling my garage with fine dust all over. The bag has a zipper at the far end for easy dumping! Great addition to prior reviews. Only complaint is that it is very loud, and makes rattling sound when operating. Sounds like the bearings are loose or need more lubrication, but not sure how to check. Hope it doesn't fail early.

I’m very happy with the dust collector, and it is actually quieter than I expected.

Good product but if you hang it causes alot of vibration noise.You will need to dampen the vibration affects.

this is loud, and does not have enough suction. don't buy it.

Compact, yet powerful! Design is well thought out.

Ran this about 3 hours a day for 2 months and the motor stopped functioning. The brushes would start sparking brightly and RPMs would drop. Motor wouldn't start unless hit or jolted.

The unit is quieter than my shop vac, but it doesn’t suck as well as my shop vac. I have it hooked up to my table saw and a lot of dust still escapes. Its better than nothing, but if I could go back, I would buy the bigger one

This dust collector works fine when cross cutting lumber. However, when ripping ,, it clogs up at the blower. The screen will not let the ripped shavings thru.

My Wen dust collector is being used for my table saw and had helped a lot.

The fuse mechanism broke and the collector would no longer turn on. This occurred at 13 months and Home Depot would not replace.

Jams up to often have to stop and cleans the grid to many times

It works great for dust and sawdust but not as well for my planer. I did not anticipate a problem with the dust collector not handling the bigger wood chips from the planer and I don't recall a disclaimer in the literature. Now it suggests I go out and add a "separator" which is quite costly. I might be better off with my shop vac.

Eventually wall mounted it. In either case, it is a little load, but normally when in use, it is because a power tool is also on, so noise devices help for both. Nice suction.

My first dust collectot and it’s great! Way more powerful than i expected. Not super loud, pretty compact and big bag.

Extremely loud for such low power. My Ridgid shop vac is more powerful than this thing in the same 4 inch ducting. It's cheap in all regards .

used it on my miter saw, table saw, and bench belt sander. works well with these tools but not on a wen bench planer. screen on dust collector input clogged quickly with small pcs of wood before i realized what was happening. I know I am not supposed to remove the screen but what else can i do. as long as it is only sawdust that it picks up it works great. have never had a dust collector before, always used shop vacs and a box fan with a filter, but have been able to see dust floating around the garage. the air looks cleaner using the dust collector.

All the parts arrived with the tool and assembly was simple. The Wen does not collect wood particles well from my planer, it clogs quickly. There is a screen that blocks wood particles that is too small to allow the wood chips and particles to pass through. I am pondering removing the screen.

Got this because I did not have space for a biger unit. I now have it hooked up to my Table saw and Bandsaw. I reduced my hose lines down to 2 1/2" from the 4"to connect to both with Shut off Gates. I have the 10' of 4" hose out of the collector then reduce down at the end of the hose. This increase the suction at my Equipment and then alow's for the dust to expand when it hits the 4" hose to break it up before it goes through the collector blades. By doing this I have not had a clugg at the collector intake so far. I did have to remove the intake hose 2 times before doing this to remove cluggs at the intake safty screen. This has also reduce my dust in the Garage By 80% with really makes the wife happy. So its a win win for me.

Was smaller than I expected so the volume of air is not as much as I’d hope but it will work for what I’m using it for. This item would be good for a few machines or basic clean up of dust.

The machines in my small shop are spread out too far to make central dust collection practical at a reasonable price. These little collectors have plenty of power to service individual machines, especially if the distance to machines is kept short, so I have bought several and placed them close enough to service to one or two machines each. Rather than invest in blast gates, I just move the line from one machine to the next. I am not engaged in heavy production, so the little bit of time lost in change-over is not a problem.As others have noted, if this collector is used with machines that produce sizable chips rather than just fine sawdust, such as a planer or router table, it will plug up quickly unless you insert a Dust Deputy or other such device in line between the machine and the Wen collector. But so long as you create this type of setup, the collector does a great job for very low money, even factoring in the cost of the Dust Deputy, etc.
