I've been loving these new WIZ lights in my home! I installed two of them over my bar and love the way they make the perfect ambiance when we have friends over! I already had two ceiling mounted cans over the bar, so no major surgery needed for this install. I removed the existing can lights and screwed in the new WIZ lights. They aren't much heavier than the existing lights, something that you may think would be an issue. Have no worries, they're fine to install into an existing recessed ceiling can. Once screwed in, I was able to follow the simple setup instructions. I slowly, but steadily, turned on and off the light switch 3 times, until the bulb was softly glowing. Once it entered that mode, I was able to load the App and change the Zone, Name and color pattern to the bulb. Boom! That easy! The bulb is build extremely well, the color options are insane! I think you need to get a few of these for your house! Note to all of you reading this, Some of the bulbs are White Light only and some can do White plus Color. For this install, I did one with color and one with White. The ability to change the White bulb from soft to cool to many other ranges of white light is pretty cool!

Two of the 4 boxes arrived opened and clearly used. Nothing in the description listed a reconditioned product. Very frustrating, especially with a product that has a limited lifespan. My immediate concern is someone swapped out for bulbs that have months or years of use already as these Wiz bulbs have been out for a while now. Definitely not the best experience.

We purchased two of these lightbulbs, and they were both awful. The “soft white” setting leans orange, the lights flickered when set to 50% brightness or less, and when I set them up with routines where the brightness and the color was defined when the lights were scheduled to turn on, they would often (not always) turn on with the wrong color. As an example: the program says to turn on at sunset at 50% in soft white, one of the two would turn on green. Returned them and purchased Hue instead.

I was sent bulbs that had been used and returned. The worst part is they weren’t even the correct bulbs. Someone took the new bulbs and replaced them with a different bulb.

I love these bulbs! This is my second batch. The first were not color-adjustable. That is a nice added feature. They connect effortlessly and really expand lighting options. I have several switches which control multiple bulbs. With these I can adjust each bulb as needed. I also love the Smart feature which allows two preset lighting settings when you turn them on with a light switch. It eliminates the need for the app in most cases. Highly recommend, especially when on sale at HD... less than conventional LED bulbs!

This was the second Wiz smart bulb I've purchased in the past year. Very impressed and fantastic that a hub isn't required. The app is intuitive and easy to use. We highly recommend this over the hue series.

Assuming these were marked down due to rebranding after Phillips acquired them. At <$4/bulb these are a fantastic deal. Easy set up (you can do multiple bulbs at once) and the tunable white makes a huge difference from daylight that makes the kitchen seem cleaner to warm evenings and candlelight. Def worth it. Bought 16 and not 1 dud in the batch.

Great smart light bulb, especially given that this price is lower than the philipe hues.

A bit tricky to connect to the wifi, otherwise 5 stars for the product

I purchased a 4 pack of these lights originally, but the white was really yellow so we switched out to the soft white ones. Installation was very quick and easy and I configured them to work with Alexa. I've noticed that my router, that is about 10' away from the light is always complaining that these constantly lost their wifi connection but whenever I use Alexa to turn the kitchen on and off they always respond so most home owners are never going to notice this issue. I've had the 4 pack installed for less than 6 months and one of the lights has started to flicker which makes it unusable. Verified it is the light by switching it with another bulb but the flicker moves with it. I'll be returning the bulb to replace with another. The app is a bit clunky but works but I only used it to set the lights up - after that I just use voice control - much easier than unlocking my phone, opening the app, picking the group and turning the light on! The lights dim and come on smoothly and overall we are pleased and the price compared to hue lights just can't be beaten. Just wish it would last longer than 6 months. The warranty is 5 yrs so I'll be taking back to the shop to switch out (thankfully I have the box still) Unlike all the over reviewers - this review was not part of a promotion!

The lights were only 60-watt equivalents and not the advertised 72-watt equivalent. I was trying to upgrade to a brighter light already had 60 W equivalent, this didn’t meet my expectations.

The bulbs are fantastic - the PROGRAMING of the bulbs can be tricky at first in getting my Amazon Echo to pay attention to the bulbs as I started to get them working. The REALLY nice thing about these bulbs is they have a great remote control that allows you to not treat them like "Star Trek Voice activated Lights" if you don't really like saying "Alexa living room lights on" (this would be my husband - he says talking to inanimate objects feels just a bit too odd). And so it was for him that I ordered the remote control. This actually has another helpful reasoning. When I program my WiFi lights to come on at a certain time in the evening, it never really goes out of sync with our schedule. Turning the lights off at night via a regular schedule USUALLY doesn't get in too much of a glitch, unless somebody is having issues sleeping, and they want to stay up later. However, in the EARLY mornings, we wake up at ALL sorts of different times, and this is where the remote comes in handy! Of course you do NOT need the remote, but for us and our way of life, it just makes things easier. The lights are SUPER bright if you want them that bright. They are dimable via the app, which can control their hue as well. The quality is super sturdy and well made too - something that you can feel when you take them out of the box.

The best feature of this bulb is that you can control it using your smartphone. Once you go to the app store and download and install the app it adds an icon that you open for setup. There is a simple instruction booklet in the box. I didn't like how long it took to connect to this bulb. It uses the 2.4 GHz network. It won't pair to this light with 3G/4G networks. I have both 2.4/5G running in my house. My cell phone is connected to the faster 5G network. It wasn't connecting the first several attempts. I even tried to connect to the 2.4G and it still didn't pair. It finally paired with my cell using the faster 5G wifi. Instructions said to power on and off five times really fast until the light pulses. The app finally saw the light. I'm now able to control the light using my smartphone. Can change the brightness too. You can create a room and link multiple lights.

I bought this to try the warmer white tones to get a cosy vibe. Other brands I’ve tried mostly provide yellow light instead of warm white but this gets the job done.
