The wood was fine, flat and square. My only issue with it, and with Home Depot wood except for pine boards, is that they put a sticker with the scan code in the middle of each board. The stickers use an adhesive that is very hard to remove. It's stronger than the paper so the paper just rips when you try to pull it off, leaving the adhesive on the wood. It takes too much time to remove the glue, and usually leaves a discolored area on the wood. I can work around it on poplar, as I generally use that for internal parts that don't show. However, I've generally stopped buying maple, oak, or whatever I'm making my project out of from Home Depot as I don't want discolored areas on my finished pieces.
For some reason, they don't do this for pine boards. There, they attach the label with a staple in the end grain. That is perfect, as it's quick to remove and leaves no mark on the wood.
