The stock at HD is remarkably irregular after milling. Go anywhere else. Look behind your Grandma's garage, pick up driftwood at the beach, cut down a tree yourself. Anything truly is better than their hoopty-wood.

I bought around 200 of these for my fence that was installed on my land, they were attached to 6"...
I bought around 200 of these for my fence that was installed on my land, they were attached to 6" x 6" x 8' post every 8 feet. You would think that most of them would be somewhat straight and maybe just a little warped. Wrong!!! There were probably 20% of what I bought that were very warped. The guys I hired used them anyway without me knowing and now they are popping the 9 gauge screws out because of the warped wood. I went to a Home Depot that was farther out because the store that was close to me were out of stock. The store was in Greenville Tx. and I needed another 40 pieces of the 2 x 6's. The guy made sure every piece that I received was straight. I really appreciated this as the store where I bought most of my wood and have spent several thousands of dollars never did this. Now I need to replace all the boards that are so bad a screw will not even stay in them let alone try to get it somewhat straight.

Horrible
This wood was my biggest mistake. It started warping after two days and when it rained it got worse. I put up about 15 ffeet of fence and I have to replace it. I rather weatherproof the wood myself. With what I paid for this I could've finished the entire side of my fence and weatherproof it using other lumber. Bad purchase. Do not recommend I prefer to give 0 stars but had to give it a 1 star
