I’ve used these cubes successfully for over a decade to start my wood burning stove, but no longer. They are now nearly impossible to light and burn pathetically weak. The Weber customer service rep in COLUMBIA was not helpful in the least. Avoid this reformulated product.

The cubes work well in conjunction with the Weber chimney type charcoal starter.

These are wonderful for getting a fire started quickly, either in a charcoal grill or in a burn pile for brush. I like the fact that there's no flavor residue affecting the charcoal, unlike lighter fluid. Their solid shape makes them safer to handle too.

These things are great for starting charcoals in a Chimney Starter. I just use one. Also great for getting the wood in the fire pit going.
