Rusts just as bad or worse than other brands.
Weber has really gone downhill. Like other companies, raise the price and cheapen the product. The grill was kept near the house and covered when finished cooking. I do NOT live near the ocean where salt corroded it. Paid $399 + tx 426.93 on 9/24/18 Now the grill is $499 + tx, dont waste your money. Pictures attached.

Hi Robert, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the disappointment with your Spirit E-210. This is not the experience we would want you to have. Regular cleaning and maintenance as outlined in your owner's guide are crucial steps for maintaining the quality of our grills. Even under regular weather conditions, rust will occur due to natural processes. We recommend treating exterior grill corrosion as soon as it appears with a cleaner/inhibitor Bar Keeper’s Friend and then cleaning with our stainless steel polish. We back our products with an outstanding warranty, and we stand by the quality of our products. If you still need assistance, please contact us directly & we'll be happy to help!

    Great grill
This is our second Weber propane grill over the years. We replaced an older Weber grill and it's excellent as expected from a Weber grill. We choose this grill for the features it had; the closed door and mainly the folding sides as we wanted more space on our deck when not in use. I absolutely love this feature. The knobs are nice and turn easily and the grates are flat which is a cool change from the standard grates we had before. It moves around on the wheels smooth if you need to move it. Assembly was easy. If I had to give it a con that would be the stainless sides scratch easy when putting plates, etc. on them. It would have been really cool if they were a brushed stainless. But other than that, I love the grill and I know it'll last years like our other one did.

I take good care of our stuff (clean, wax, cover). However, same issue as other users. Grill is 2 years old and is rusting, peeling, and not working as it should. Attached pics. show the corrosion. The third burner quit working at about 13 mos new. The Weber brand is not what it used to be - I won't buy this brand again.

I decided to spend the extra money to purchase a Weber as they had a reputation for a long lasting grill. Often touted as something "you could pass down to your kids." Well, thats clearly not the case anymore. I've had mine for a little over 5 years which is pretty much the same about of time I've gotten out of the much cheaper alternatives. ALWAYS kept it covered when not in use. I've gone through 3 sets of flavorizers (Weber, if you're listening, increase the thickness on the steel you use for these, they should last more than 12 months), my cast iron enamel coated grates literally began to and the gas cross-tube has literally disintegrated. Conveniently began right after the warranty had expired. Pretty disappointed.

I have owned this grill for no more then 3 years now. I can say this is not your "fathers Webber". For $500, I expected it to last much longer then it has. First, the painted frame is rusting all around the bottom and especially where the door meets the frame. So I expect the door will fall off soon. Next the "porcelain" tents have all rusted through and the grates are falling apart. Last one of the stainless steel burners has a big hole in it from rust. Stainless steel rusts? So I called Webber and they said that the tents and the grates are out of warranty, even though it clearly says I have a 5 year warranty in the book and the sticker that came with the grill. Rep tells me that is a mistake, but that they will honor it this one time. What a joke. Thats false advertising if you ask me. So now I have new burners, new tents, and new grates, but how long will the frame last that is rusting underneath? That is out of warranty. I always kept the grill covered from day 1 and I really disappointed in this product and the service I received.

This BBQ was pretty simple to assemble, taking only about 1.5 hours. The quality looks really good so far, but we'll see how it holds up over time. The BBQ was packaged quite well, and suffered no damage despite the delivery company leaving it just a few feet from the street on our driveway. Yes, it is heavy... For some reason, Weber has made the new Spirit II series not have the enclosed bottom, so you see the legs and propane tank, so I'm glad I was still able to find this earlier version on-line at HomeDepot. It looks much better than the new ones.

Ok so everyone already knows buying a Weber is going to be more expensive than the other options at Home Depot. So let’s just get that out of the way... But is it worth it? I would have to say yes. We have owned Weber before. This one was for my mother in law. We owned a much larger version that cooked super hot. Took some getting used to before we could cook the perfect steak. But we loved it once we got used to it. This grill was purchased online. No way I was buying a grill with an exposed drip pan! Don’t know why Weber is doing this. I don’t need my dogs trying to eat scorching hot grease! Not very smart Weber I must say. But this model looked nice and had the door on front so it was a winner. Home Depot offered assembly even though it was bought online. Dropped it off and picked it up a few hours later and we were ready to go. Fast and easy. Love it! Fired it up. Got to 500 degrees within 5 minutes. Cooked our Ribeyes, corn on the cob and baked potatoes to perfection. The first time out. No need to learn the grill, no need to watch it like crazy. 4 1/2 minutes a side and we had gorgeous medium rare with nice grill marks. Super easy to use. We were even able to put down the side trays and roll it right into the garage out of the weather so it will stay fabulous for at least 10 years based on my Weber experience. Being able to get it through a doorway so easily will let this grill last almost indefinitely. No worry about rusting out. My only complaint is that the gas tank insert lets the grill go all the way through and touch the ground. I read another review and it commented on a hook. So we’ll have to check that out. Seeing we didn’t assemble it we didn’t know to look for something like that. So I expect my one complaint will be exonerated once we figure it out. Now I am in desperate need for a new Weber for myself. Replacing my old large 3 burner which still works after 12 years it’s just rusted now. But all the big ones have an open bottom I noted earlier in the review. What a horrible design and cheap look for an $899.00 grill. Ours had doors. Now the doors rusted but I still want the doors. Weber please redo the next version so I can buy myself the larger one that I desperately need. Maybe my photo will get Weber’s attention.

Took 2.5 hrs to assemble. Works as expected. Pros: small footprint, starts quickly, cooks evenly. Cons: propane tank holder design (does not rest on floor, requires holding heavy tank with one arm while attaching to hanger with other), side shelves do not fold down easily (does not fold straight down, has a hitch to it, annoying but functional), AA battery required for ignition (my previous grill did not require a battery).

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and construction of this grill. Hands down the nicest and easiest one I've ever put together. Everything just lined up and fit perfectly. Electronic ignition works and the burners give off a solid even flame for ideal grilling. My top cover arrived with a crack in the side (no visible package damage) and one email to customer support (on the weekend) had them shipping me a replacement part within a day. Completely satisfied with this purchase.

This grill is one of the best for sure. Well worth the extra cost. Pros: -Good size for family of 2 -Well made, sturdy materials, quality finish -Easy to assemble, with a little patience - nifty instructions with pictures only -Great enclosed layout, with easy front access to drip tray -Nice casters with brakes -Good control of consistent heat, even in windy conditions Cons: -Grills have raised crossbars making them harder to clean brushing front to back. Bad idea, otherwise 5 stars

I know Weber makes a great grill, but unfortunately when it was delivered we found the grill grate to be shattered as was part of the control panel. Weber was great and sent us new parts but when we finished assembling it several days later we noticed the iron top/lid had a 3" fracture. I was really surprised such heavy metal would crack. The damage probably happened during shipping but there was absolutely no damage to the box. The fractured lid probably wont affect performance so we are just going to live with it. Would like a new lid, though..

Grill had considerable damage during transit, but Weber sent replacement parts very quickly. Assembly instructions were very good and assembly wasn't overly difficult. Grill heats up very quickly and gets hot enough to sear steaks nicely. Temperature control is very good and slow cooked pulled pork came out great. Overall, a very nice grill!

Purchased this product on Oct 2016. Less than 1 1/2 years later, the 4 corners at the base are rusting. This grill has been under a patio AND with a grill cover for protection. Weber is not the same quality it used to be. Now they are no different than buying the cheaper brands at Walmart. When I contacted weber, their recommendation was that I scrub it with some liquid. Yeah, No. I'll trash this when the rust goes through the base and not buy a weber again.

Sturdy and lights easily, heats quickly. A little smaller grill space than I expected. Takes about an hour to put together from the box, longer if you do it at night on a poorly-lit patio. Grill pattern is wide flat bars rather than more traditional rounded rods.

cooks great but base rusted out w no warranty
We purchased this grill in 2013 and the HD associate said the warranty was 5 years on it. We also purchased the grill cover and keep it covered when not in use. Its been an awesome grill to cook on, but we noticed this year (2017) it was starting to wobble. It turns out the base where the lower hinge of the storage door and the front left wheel connects was rusted completely through. Contacted Weber to make a warranty claim but apparrently the base only has a 2 year warranty. It would cost $72 to get a new base shipped to us. And its up to us to pull the old one off and replace it. BTW the main grill box, lid and burners are rock solid! It makes no sense to me why different parts would have different warranties, but thats how it works. So, in summary it grills well, but the base rusting and weird warranty rules knock it down substantially. I don’t think the price difference over other brands is justified if the whole unit isnt under warranty.

Ordered it online thru Home Depot and received the unassembled grill at home - big mistake. I immediately knew that I should have purchased it assembled. I went back to my local Home Depot and asked if anything could be done, and the service rep told me that it would be no problem if I returned the grill and all the pieces – that they would assemble it in the next two or three days. I came back after they called me, the grill was assembled and operational, and I grilled some steaks later that evening. The grill is great, and so is Home Depot…

This grill is the perfect size for the person who lives in a townhouse community like we do. It’s has two burners so you can only use one if cooking a small portion. I like that the side tables fold down for easy storage. They also have a gas gauge underneath to measure when the tank is getting low so you have a chance to get another tank before running out of gas. This grill also has a battery operated igniter that is inside the grill and hidden away. This grill is very nice and convenient and very easy to use once it’s completely set up. The only complaint I have was the setup. I thought this grill was going to be already put together and it wasn’t. I was a little difficult to do this by myself but I managed. It took me a couple of hours but, everything came out very well and we are very pleased with this grill.

Just wait. First, it is difficult to turn the gas tank on and off after each use because you have to reach under the hot grill, remove the front plate (which then falls off easily), and risk a burn. Second, within just a couple of months, the "stainless" metal that fronts the grill (where you see the burner dials on the front) begins to rust.

Bought this grill about 3 years ago. I bought a Weber because I associated them with quality but I think they may have lowered the quality to hit a price point with this line of grills. The lower body is fairly cheap sheet metal. The push button start died on me after about a year and the burner covers have rusted out. The spacing on the grates is a little too large so food slips through them. That may have been changed in current models. Overall I would say this is just an average grill.
