High quality as expected
This grill delivers on the high quality i expect from a weber product. The metal is solid and heavy to stand up to the elements. Cooking grates are sturdy and the grill cooks evenly around the entire surface. Cast iron skillet insert is an awesome bonus. Only complaint are that it has less grilling surface than the genesis.

          Love it
Very nice product, easy to use, and doesn't take up a lot of space. The wheels on the bottom make it easy to move even on our uneven deck.

            Wonderful grill!
Bought this three burner gas grill preassembled. Works great - grilling veggies on the cast iron grilling pan or steaks on the grates, nothing better! Durable, even cooking - can't say enough good about this Weber grill. Gonna be a great summer!

              Grill Cooking Space
The grill was assembled and ready to use. I have never seen propane holder like this in the Weber and it is a nice feature. Food cooks evenly and has enough surface to cook several food items.

              Great Grill
This grill came fully assembled all we had to do was attach the propane and we were grilling. First Weber I have ever purchased and so far it was definitely worth the few extra bucks.

              Great BBQ
This is a great little BBQ. I love the Gourmet BBQ System, it makes grilling veggies or frying bacon super simple. Like all Weber BBQs you can see and feel the quality difference when compared to a cheaper brand. This BBQ will last more than a couple of years (I had my last Weber over 10 years). I purchased it at the store and it was already completely assembled. :) The only thing I'm not crazy about is the front cover. It should be a door, as is, it is not useful for anything and kinda annoying to take off and put on.

              Returning this Product
This grill was not the quality item I was expecting. I am returning it for another brand that is better made, larger and much less expensive.

Front Panel Alllllmost Enough of a Reason to Look Elsewhere
I always wondered what the big deal was with Weber grills. I couldn't wrap my head around their high prices when compared to the likes of Charbroil. Seems like other brands, you get a lot more grill for the money. I finally got sick & tired of "cheaper" grills rusting out in ways that made it impossible to repair. Serves no point to make replacement parts if the places where they're mounted inside the grill rust away. This is my first Weber & I can tell you - I definitely get it. I don't think this grill is by any means expensive. At first glance, it just looks like less grill for the money if you were looking at other brands. Then I reminded myself that I am on my 3rd "other brand" grill in 8 years. This is a really nice, well-made grill (the exception is the front panel).. Assembly is VERY easy. I've used it several times & it cooks very well. Burgers, fish, steaks - all come out great. I recommend you get the rotisserie for this grill. Also, get Char-Broil's Nexgrill Smoker box. Cast iron & works really well. Weber makes one but it's stainless steel. A buddy of mine has it & it warps & discolors. Other SS smoker boxes I've had didn't hold up to the heat & temp changes. Rotisserie, smoker box, Gourmet BBQ system & you'll have yourself a decent outdoor cooking set up. Except for the front panel. Weber, what on Earth were you thinking with this flimsy panel? Folks, it's a joke. It serves its purpose, I guess, but trust me when I say you will waste more time trying to line up the hooks with the 4 pegs that hold this panel in place than you did cooking your burgers well done. It is frustratingly annoying. You'll find yourself about as angry as you can get while you struggle to put it back in place - but then you find yourself laughing maniacally because you just can't believe this thing is disobeying your orders to connect & stay put. I am already trying to figure out how I can make a door on hinges that I can mount to the grill's lower opening frame. Luckily the quality of the grill is otherwise stellar and the Gourmet BBQ system is pretty slick. Then again..if this is why you're buying the grill, get a model with a door & get yourself a wrought-iron skillet & ummm... you got the same thing. One thing I really want to mention is the ignition system. Wow. REALLY well made. Typically, the igniter is the first thing to go on outdoor grills. Seems like manufacturers put no thought into form, function or reliability/durability when making them. Not Weber. It's a separate box that sits inside the cabinet & is really heavy duty. I am betting being so well made & tucked away from direct exposure to the elements means when this igniter fails, it's likely only the battery (which is stored in a really well-made, well-protected housing.) Way to go Weber! (Almost makes up for the flimsy front panel.) I readily recommend the grill, but be prepared to be plenty annoyed by that front panel.

                Makes me Happy ...
Have been using this grill for almost two years now, and here are my thoughts on it ... The quality is much better than the less expensive grills that I've used in the past. It doesn't get quite as hot as I'd like for searing steaks, but it does get plenty hot enough to do a good job. Takes a little longer initially warming up than my last grill. All those people that can't figure out the front panel and so whine about it, get over it. Being able to remove the panel completely rather just open a door gives more room to maneuver underneath for cleaning or replacing the tank. It's not a difficult endeavor to hook the panel over the four posts. Speaking of cleaning, the ability to easily get to everything inside to clean the grill is a wonderful thing. Being able to easily give it a good cleaning will add years to its life. The tank fill indicator is a great idea. It makes it a little more difficult to replace the tank, but that's a small price to pay for knowing how much propane you have left! The replaceable grill inserts are fun. I thought it was a silly gimmick when I first got it, but once I made blackened tilapia using the flat pan insert I was hooked! I use the flat pan insert frequently for fish and vegetables, and I keep threatening to get the pizza stone but haven't gotten to it yet. The heavy duty cast iron grill grates are wonderful! I would not have spent this much on a gas grill if it weren't for my father-in-law giving me a gift card about the time my last one died. I'm very glad I did as I've been nothing but pleased with this grill since the first time I used it. If you're thinking about shelling out for a good grill, Weber is definitely the way to go!

Excellent Grill, not so much service experience
The grill is excellent. I would recommend this Grill to anyone who is interested in a quality high end grill. My pick up experience was less than poor.

                Great Looking Grill
Have not had the opportunity to use yet, but hope to this weekend. My daughter and her boyfriend put it together. Did not hear any complaints from either of them. Had it done relatively quickly.

The Best Grill I've Ever Owned
This is by far the best grill I've ever owned. I have had a few grills over the years, but this one never burns my food. It cooks evenly. I bought the vegetable basket to go with it and I put squash, zucchini and mushrooms in it all the time. Always tasty. If you never use the side burner like me, then you don't need the Genesis. We are a family of four and it's plenty big enough for us and any party we host. I can't praise it enough. If you're debating spending this much money on a grill, bite the bullet and do it. The best purchase I've made in a while.

                  A Very Good Grill
My only small complaints about this grill are; (1) the front cover is a pain to keep removing and replacing and would really be better served by having an actual door on it, and (2) maybe I was just naive in expecting the grill to come with the propane tank (which it didn't) which then cost me another $50 (filled). Other than these two small issues, the grill is fine. P.S. For those that are not mechanically inclined and worrying about some other reviewers statements about how long it took to assemble (in once case 3 hours!), I did it in only an hour and a half and probably 20 minutes of that was simply unpacking all the pieces and making sure I had everything.

                  Outstanding in many ways
This is a great grill and with all the accessory's it is really run. It is hotter than my old grill so cooking time had to be adjusted but it works great. The chrome/stainless parts do mark if you hit them with a spoon or a spatula so you have to be careful. I had it assembled and then transported it 60 miles to my home. The control knobs are intentionally loose so that they can be easily removed for cleaning. However I was not aware of this so once it was loaded in a pickup bed-I took out the grill pieces to avoid them jumping around on rough roads but I did not remove the control knobs and on the way home they blew off. They must be replaced in a set and Weber sells them @ $27.00 plus shipping if I remember correctly. Just remove them and the rest of the grill is great. Replacing the tank is a on your hands and knees chore but bearable.
