1st new Weber grill I’m 12 years. Really like the features and looks. Very well made grill and easy to cook on. Many options to choose from. Worth the extra money for a well made grill.

Great grill, like the feature of temperature mesuring, to bad only 1 prob canes with it, heats up verry quick, nice heat spread, recomending.

3 weeks in with my new Spirit SX-315 Smart Grill and I am very pleased with its performance so far. Assembly was quite easy and everything that I have grilled so far has been perfect!

This review will cover two parts first how well the grill performs and second how well the smart features work and if they are valuable. First the grill itself is well constructed with quality materials. It was very easy to assemble if you are used to assembling your own items. What impressed me most about the design is that the grill incorporated its own cabling management system for the smart system. I had assumed the smart features was just an add on to the side shelf with batteries in the back, however that is not the case. The batteries for the smart features and for the ignitor are contained in the cabinet away from the elements which helps prevent corrosion of the materials. As for cooking with the grill, I have found that the grill preheats relatively fast. It has always gotten up to grilling temperature by time I am done with my food preparation so I haven't had any issue here. This grill does not have a dedicated sear burner but you can still get a good sear on the grates at full temperature. The grill cooks very evenly, I haven't found any hot or cold spots on the grill and I can place food at any location on the grates and have them cook evenly. As with any grill you do lose a lot of heat with the lid open. The grill will quickly recover its heat if you don't leave the lid open too long but it may take a while to recover heat if you are flipping food for five minutes. This is where I feel the smart features come in handy. If you use the Weber app to program your cooking routine, the smart system will adjust the cooking time based on the temperature of the food, and the temperature of the grill. You just flip when it says to flip and remove from the grill when it says to remove from the grill and your meal is cooked perfectly to your preferred level of doneness. The smart features remove a lot of the guesswork around grilling by just time and temperature alone. Additionally the grill temperature gauge is located in the back of the grill just above the grates which provides for a more accurate temperature reading than a lid thermometer. I find a lot of value in the smart features but I can also see how some people might prefer not to spend the extra money on the smart grill and instead get a Spirit with a side burner or a Genesis instead. If you already have the Weber iGrill portable system or have perfected your grilling techniques to not need the system it probably doesn't make sense to buy this model. However, for the average user this is an all around excellent grill.

The size and features of this grill make grilling an easier process than I have known since I started grilling 50 years ago. From a small portable briquette cooker to this right sized full of features grill I am a happy owner. It was a little more time consuming to build than I hoped but the instructions were pretty good. The smart technology of setting a temperature and timer with a meat or fish probe and following progress on my phone through the app was a pleasure to experience.

Grill came with dented door that appeared to be from the packing not shipping. I can live with the dented door but haven’t been able to get it to heat past 400 degrees despite changing tanks and multiple re-starts so it doesnt look good or cook well either.

This is a Great Grill, I replaced my 25 year old Weber grill with this one and love the upgrades and the quality.

Great grill so far, my only complaint is that the digital display is really hard to read.

I purchased one last summer (2023) for the cottage and purchased another one (2024) for home. Both cook the same with even heat while cooking and well built. I use the WiFi while cooking on both of them which is a nice feature. Assembly is very easy but takes time to assemble with easy instructions. Would highly recommend the Spirit SX-315 Smart Grill

It makes grilling predictable. I like using the app, which provides specific instructions, like temperature and time. I have had great success with fish, chicken and steak.

It's a very nice grill, especially for someone who has never used a grill before. Easy light with a touch of a button is great, and I love the temp probe and read option on the grill! Weber makes grilling fun and easy with all the information on the web.The smaller size is great for two people. I read many reviews and checked with Consumer Reports to make my final decision, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend to others. I have only one con, and that is the bar to lift the hood, and the knobs get too hot.

Terrific grill but hard to control cooking temperature - even cooking, no flare ups

Assembly was straightforward and easy to accomplish with 2 of us using the assembly instructions included. The grill works great and the temperature sensor is a huge help with cooking. I cooked steaks for Father’s Day and they were done to perfection! Great grill!

My sister cooked a couple of steaks on the grill and they came out very good . We like the 3 burners and also you can use 1 or 2 burners if you like .

Excellent grill, lights easy, gets up to heat quickly ,no problem with grease flares, large enough for family but may need something bigger for a larger group. Excellent customer service as needed to obtain some repair parts. Grill was easy to assemble. This is my first gas grill as have used the charcoal kettle grill for years. Like the convenience still use the kettle grill too.

We got this a few months ago and have been using it regularly. Very happy with it. Even ordered accessories like pizza stone, veggie basket, griddle etc My only negative comment would be that it had scratches on it when I took it out from its original packaging. It was a brand new one.. I did submit a complaint but received no email/call. Other than that it is a great grill.

Wanted a grill that was a little smaller than the monster we used to own. Love the Weber and all the great features. Well designed, easy to use, and easy to clean. Best grill I’ve ever owned.

The smart board is not accurate, approximately 100°off at 325 on temp side. With probe 10°at 135. The battery power doesn't last very long, would not recommend buying with the smart system

The materials seem flimsy. Who designs a grill that is outside that always looks like it needs it's metal finishes cleaned? The stainless was damaged...had striations throughout. I got this as a corporate gift so can't return it. The design is poor...the top opens up so high I can't reach to open it easily and am always afraid I'll burn myself it's so high, and I'm 5'5". My old Weber Spirit, close to 20 yrs old, was much better. Very disappointed.

The reason for the low rating is the fact that a key electronic module was not included. This is a key factor in using the dashboard. Probably in short supply but still selling the grill.

My replacement knobs did not work So I still haven’t been able to use my new grill

This is an amazing BBQ. It's quite handy having all the information on your phone. Can't wait to try all the recipes on the App.

Was disappointed with the construction and design. The back of the grill has an opening, that in a moderate wind, when the gas is turned to medium on all 3 burners, allows the wind to blow out the flame. So have to keep it on high in a modest wind, a waste of Propane and increased level of difficulty maintaining a proper temperature. I have purchased Weber grills since the 90's and own 3. The Kettle, a Genisis and a Spirit that is 6 years old which is why I purchased this new Spirit. This just seems to be less sturdy in it's construction and missing some features , like a regular mechanical thermometer. The electronics are ok , but the base BBQ unit is disappointing.

My second Weber. First one lasted over 25 years. That's why I was determined that the new one would be a Weber again. I love the digital wireless technology, it makes getting the temps I want a breeze. For some reason ( maybe better design / components), it seems less affected by low temperatures than the "other" BBQ that I just tossed out ( it came with the house). It wouldn't get hot when it was 0C, or below. The Spirit doesn't seem to care if it's cold or not, it gets hot, and gets hot quickly. So, I'm looking forward to BBQing all year long! It was nice to get access to all the resources ( tips , recopies, etc.). Hope to get twenty plus years out of this one!
