Anyone who does allot of pipe work with glue joints , this is a great tool . If you are like us we are always looking for pliers to open up glue cans after they have been opened . This tool is designed for the job and all my guys have one with our plumbing fitting tool kits as a dedicated tool. It opens the top super easy no time wasted trying to get the glue can open with plies, screwdrivers etc.

Where has this been all my life!! My hands...
Where has this been all my life!! My hands are too week to open the glue cans so I was using a wrench, which often would damage the lid enough that it would not close tightly or close TOO tightly, and often drying up my glue or letting purple cleaner leak all over the place. This “grabber” is SO easy to use. It grips the lid tightly making it easy to remove. Then it tightens the (undamaged) lid perfectly. No more leaking, stinky purple stuff, and no more dried up glue.

After years of using a pair of slip-joint pliers or fighting opening PVC cement cans by hand, I came across this tool by accident at my local Home Depot. Wow, it works flawlessly!! It is the perfect size to easily open cement cans and the grooves on the inside grip the grooves on the can lid perfectly for a non-slip grip. Even after some glue has dried onto the threads of the can lid, this tool makes it very easy to remove the can lid or to seal it tightly after doing the work. At first glance, I thought it was a bit pricy but after using it I find that it is worth every penny.

This is one of those tools that looks dumb until you actually own and use one. Yeah you can do the same thing with a pair of channel locks but this is the right tool and doesn't ruin the cap.

totally necessary
I didn’t think I would need it but then I definitely did need it because if I didn’t have it I would’ve ruined the can or I would’ve made a mess. Get this you’ll thank yourself later.
