The pressure leak relief valve is leaking. When the water heater was put together one of the two copper pipes was bent due to poor workmanship.

Fitted in Jan 2020, last week the insulation over the bottom thermostat caught fire, and filled the house with smoke. Luckily the 30 a breaker worked and cut the power. Water was evident leaking out of the bottom of the tank into the catch tray, and on removing both top and bottom covers the insulation all the way down was soaked, and a dribble was coming down above the top thermostat, so from somewhere in the top part of the tank. All external fittings (hot out/cold in/high temp blow off) have no external signs of leaks so I have to believe either a tank weld or one of the inbuilt fittings is faulty. We hadn't noticed it, but there was rust in the galvanized catch tray so it might have been leaking for a while. Unfortunately we are in Canada and bought the tank from HH in Omak, WA. And now in these covid times I have no way to return it or try and arrange an exchange. So, out it comes., and I'm out nearly $1750. GRUMP! Once out, I'm going to pull the top off and remove insulation in the hope of finding the source of the leak, perhaps it can be fixed. If anyone from Westinghouse or HH would care to reach out to me I'd appreciate it.

This is by far, THE BEST HOT WATER HEATER, EVER! My wife no longer complains about running out of hot water and that is with the dishwasher, the washing machine and at least one teenager taking a shower! Big? Yeah! But, worth it! It has 3 heating elements, top, mid and bottom and it fills from the bottom so the cold water has to get some heat lovin’ before it exits! We love it! Used in residential 4 bedroom home

Great product just what I needed for my house with 4 girls/women taking longer than 30 mins to shower.. my older 40 gallons couldn’t keep up to keep that much hot water running

It is bigger that the model with the same capacity that we had before but until now is working well.

Arrived much faster than planned but in great shape. Installed and worked out of the box. Heaters come with hot water backflow preventers installed and the connectors are threaded on the top of the tank. I piped everything using CPVC and no sweating (brazing) was required to install the heaters. You can use 26" diameter drip pans for these heaters. I recommend lifting the heaters off the ground with 2" cinderblocks under the drip pans.

So far, so great. We had the new water heater installed today and my first hot shower was wonderful.
