Small, light weight and quiet. I was disappointed that my new unit arrived at my house with a note about how it was mislabeled at the factory. In the Home Depot online data/pictures the unit is named an iGen 2200 and my unit markings are iGen 2000 and my documentation references iGen 2000 not the iGen 2200. It still puts out a peek of 2200 watts and running watts of 1800 but mislabeled. I might expect this from something off of eBay but not Home Depot.

So far this generator has been a great value. I am very happy with the Home Depot ship to store option since I didn't want to have these delivered to my house when I'm not home for obvious reasons. Home Depot had them loaded on a hand cart ready for pick-up as promised. I did buy 2 and make note they do parallel. It does not say they can in any description at the time of my purchase but they can with a parallel kit. They run my trailer a/c with no issues and together are quieter than my 5000 watt generator that is not an invertor type. Noise level is relative to each person. If you think that this or any generator is going to be silent you will be disappointed. With a gas engine and then the stator turning there is going to be noise regardless of maker. As an example, even an electric lawnmower makes noise with the blade turning while cutting grass. So that being said try this generator out. It is far cheaper than other big name brands and so far has been a great value. The noise I believe is on par with the big name brand similar sized generators also to my ear. Inside the generator there is some sound deadening material as well. It has a spark arrestor that not all generators have which is important here in the dry west if camping. The only note on mine which is an earlier production run is it is mislabeled as an 1800/2000 watt when in fact it is an 1800/2200 watt. I would guess the later ones are correctly labelled. The only other thing I could knock them is there is no fuel level gage which could be an issue if you don't know how long they can run or can't remember the last time you added fuel. I just top them off regularly to get around this. Can't beat the price though as I got two of them for the price of one of the big name brand units plus, Home Depot credit had a promotion that allowed me to save another 75 bucks which is a lot of fuel!

Awesome generator, even better than advertised! Quiet and powerful and super smooth running! I'm not sure how but it barely sips fuel which is a huge plus. Definitely recommend if you are looking at one of the "big" name generators.

This is a great product. I put in the oil and gas and it started on the first pull. We have been using it at our sales tent in the Villages and it is quiet and just sips gas in the econo mode. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a reliable, quiet, energy efficient generator.

I bought this generator a month ago and used it for first time on a long camping trip. Easy instructions for start up as it came with everything except gas. One pull to start it for first time. Nice and quiet operations especially at night. Highly recommend this generator as the price is better than similar named brand generator.

Excellent compact generator so far, although I've got less than 10 hours on it. Relatively easy to maintain and operate. Primary role is emergency power post-hurricane and it'll run our refrigerator, microwave, or bedroom window air conditioner very efficiently, although not more than one at a time. Good power-to-weight ratio and very easy on fuel. I like this generator a lot.

I can't recommend this generator, I bought it because its highly rated but I had to return 3 different generators to Home Depot because they were defective right out of the box. The first one had a problem with the run switch, would not turn off and ran slightly rough. The 2nd one ran really rough, loud and the exhaust was very strong so something was wrong with the emissions. The 3rd one right out of the box ran at full speed and none of the controls worked, no lights on the display and it didn't produce any power at all. I just can't hardly believe that after buying and returning 3 generators that none of them worked. I really wanted one of these generators for taking camping but I no longer believe I could trust the unit even if I was able to get a good one. Could it be trusted to run when needed in a power outage? I'm not going to bet on it. I'll need to look into a different brand. Home Depot Customer Service is Great and made the return process easy so don't be afraid to buy online from them.

This generator could almost be a amazing. The service and support that Westinghouse provides and the fact they don't do a full functional systems check in China of the generator before they ship it makes this generator a waste of time and money. I received the generator, put fuel and oil in it and went to the track. Fired the generator up no problem, let I run for about 6 hours, no problem. Went to turn the generator off, problem, when I turned the operation switch to off the generator kept on running. I had to fully choke the engine, turn the fuel cap to off and cover the exhaust with a rag to get the engine to shut off. They don't test these generators at the factory before they ship them!!! I wanted to send the generator back to Westinghouse and have them ship me a new one. Their solution was to send me the switch and have me fix it my self or take the generator to a small engine dealer that was going to involve five, yes five hours of my travel time. Needless to say I returned the generator.
