This microwave performs as promised. I did, however, end up purchasing a different, low profile microwave and giving this one to my son because after using it for a month, the size of it it felt too cumbersome and intrusive with it's full swinging door.

Fantastic Microwave. I'm very short (4'11") and I love that I can reach the controls so much easier. Also, it is very powerful. My favorite new added button is for melting/softening butter. Love it!

Quite pleased with the unit, as it was an exact fit replacing the old unit, so that there was the minimum required for installation.

As the title states, DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!! Shortly after the warranty expires (1 year), I have had nothing but problems with it. This has had to be fixed 3 times and tonight, it just stopped working again. I am so furious, I am thinking about ripping out all my whirlpool kitchen appliances and replacing them with another brand, such as Samsung. Every whirlpool appliance I have purchased seems to have problems. Think about spending your hard earned cash on another brand!!

Loved my purchase when I bought it. So much so, I replaced my other kitchen appliances to match the microwave. Unfortunately, the microwave only lasted for about a year. I contacted the retailer I purchased my product from and was informed I’d have to buy a new one. Disappointed…

This is my favorite looking microwave other than the very high-end ones. I like the slick design but the lights are too dim, specially the one inside it. It really bothers me that Whirlpool went so cheap with an important feature like this. I want to be able to take a quick look and tell what is going on with the food or beverage being cooked. Also, there is only one dim light under the microwave instead of two like most other ones. It also lacks one touch features like 1-3 minute cooking times.

This microwave is working great so far - about a month. I love the clean styling (no protruding handle) and the features although I have not yet tested all of them. The reheat function is very useful. It was a bit startling on first use as it selects a longer time than I am used to selecting. Apparently instead of just blasting away it moderates the power during the reheat process which leaves a much less dried out product. Operation of the microwave is quiet and I actually like the chime when cooking is complete. The exhaust fan is also much quieter than my previous MW. The unit fit perfectly in the allotted space. For reference, we have an 8' ceiling and the MW is mounted below a 12" soffit and 12" cabinet. Although slightly taller than my previous MW, there is still more than adequate clearance to the stove top. My "gripes" are very minor. You can't just hit the "2" and have it automatically turn on for two minutes but, instead, need to select 2:00 and start. However, it does have the needed 30 second button. My second issue is sort of an operator error event. Because the controls are on the door, the door for this MW is quite long compared to those with the controls to the side. When it swings open it swings out much farther than most units. That actually took a bit to get used to.

Home Depot did a great job on the install! Works like a charm for our cooking needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally had a broken part replaced. This appliance seems to have the current options like many other manufacturers, nothing special.

We're on our THIRD failure with this piece of junk. First time, only the cooling fan kicked on - it never cooked the food. The it started making a LOUD vibrating noise and shut off after 2 seconds - too TWO tries to fix that!!! NOW it's back to just the fan turning on & not cooking the food. Whirlpool has IGNORED us every step of the way. Pursuing legal action under Magnusson-Moss warranty act.
