We bought this refrigerator when my wife and I got married in 2017. The LED lights stopped working in 2021. We tried replacing the LED lights and the door switch without success. The local appliance repair team didn’t know what to do so we’d have to keep buying, and trying, expensive parts! So I don’t recommend whirlpool refrigerators if you have enough space for something else!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I love this fridge, but there are a couple of things that could be better. While the metal wire shelves in the freezer are good for cold air circulation, the spacing between the wires is a little too wide, so some items can literally fall through. My biggest complaint is that it does not have a deli drawer. While the deeper bins at the bottom are good for produce, a separate shallower drawer is crucial for fresh meats, which, no matter how well packaged, frequently can ooze liquid. Consequently, having a deli drawer makes it easier to keep the interior of the refrigerator clean. If it had been offered as an add-on to my original purchase I would have happily bought it. Now I'm going to have to find one as a separate after market purchase that may not fit well. My previous Whirlpool had a deli drawer, and it's a really poor design decision to now not include one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is very nice, just what I wanted. Now if I could get instructions for use of the casters it sits on I would like it a LOT more. A means to make it stop rolling forward every time I open the doors would be nice. A way to level it properly so that the doors don't slam open when you'd like to reach inside, that would be great. Better information on what I can use to clean the stainless steel front would be super, as soap and water as instructed in the manual doesn't help at all. Speaking of the manual, I wish it did not show an easily removable panel in front of leveling feet that aren't there when the panel is held in place with screws and there are no leveling feet. Other than that I like the refrigerator. It maintains an ideal temperature in both the storage and freezer areas. Good interior lighting makes it easy to see what you've got and where it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the refrigerator in November after having no refrigerator for a while over thanksgiving, and so far my new two door Whirlpool refrigerator is working fine. I did have to purchase a shelf a frame and a meat or snack drawer in order to make it usable for my family and that was a real hassle. I spent more money than I should have but the job is finally done. The drawer does not fit exactly right but it's livable and it will stay. Hopefully this will be the last refrigerator I have to purchase for quite a while. They certainly have gotten more expensive than they used to be.

Just received my Whirlpool fridge today and overall very disappointed with this fridge… for the amount of money the fridge costs to receive such poor quality. Fridge is very noisy sounds like a helicopter! Overall not satisfied and will be returning. Do not recommend whirlpool for fridges you will be wasting your time and money.

The shelves are spacious (there’s only two of us). It’s also nice and quiet. Wasn’t sure I would like stainless, but it’s growing on me! Thank you Whirlpool!

Maybe it's normal for this model, but our last one was basically silent. No complaints about the rest. Shelving is fine, doors work well. Interior lighting is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Waited 2 months to get this refrigerator. Had it for 15 days runs majority of the time and is louder then previous refrigerator. No icemaker so it's not that. It's on the recommended settings. Looks nice, like the lighting in it,

Due to the shelves being made of glass, instead of wire, you lose 2” of depth for air flow for the sake of “pretty”. None of the shelves are height adjustable. The top shelf's height can hold a “short” 2 quart container. Our experience is about 2/3rds of the 2 quart containers we buy are slightly too tall to fit on the top shelf. So we end up rearranging the frig every time we buy milk or juice in 2 quart containers. Door shelves are not adjustable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only had this refrigerator for a few weeks, but so far it works great. It is pretty roomy and not as noisy as some other reviewers have indicated. It needs more shelves in the freezer, however, and I am unhappy that Whirlpool doesn't offer a way to order more. There are slots where I can add them! Also, the outside finish seems finicky. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel is not consistent -- there are some mysterious dark spots along the edges that we can't remove.

My mom had her Whirlpool side by side refrigerator/freezer for almost 50 years and it was a gem. Months ago I also bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator. Unfortunately, this new Whirlpool side by side refrigerator/freezer is a great disappointment! Let me explain: Mom’s side by side: 1. had wired shelves that went from side to side and all the way to the back of the refrigerator. They could be adjusted to any level needed because there were lots of slots running up and down a tract at the back of the refrigerator. Perfect! 2. The 3 shelves in the new refrigerator are glass. 3. None of the glass shelves reach the back of the refrigerator. Two inches of shelving are lost from each shelf - greatly limiting storage shelf space, and, placing anything beyond the back of the shelf, chances are the item will fall to the bottom of the refrigerator. 4. There are ONLY four placements of FIXED (permanent) levels for the shelves. MORE THAN THAT only three glass shelves come with the refrigerator. Bear in mind, making adjustments for the shelves for YOUR needs are impossible. - For example, the space between a glass shelf on the top level and a glass shelf on the second level down is less than 6”. Try fitting a 32 oz container of yogurt in there. It is a struggle. Reaching to the back of this shelf for an item is a fight – hoping not to knock something off on the shelf with your elbow. - Okay. Let’s move the second shelf to the third level. Now you end up with 14-1/2” between the first and second shelves! The question is what in the world do you do with the NINE inches of empty space above that 5” tall container of yogurt or any 7/8 inch container? - Now let’s move the second shelf down to the third level. We end up with 15” of space between the second and third levels. Goodness! Put an 8” or 9” pot on the shelf and you are left with SIX inches of unusable space above the pot! 5. The walls are quite thick also. The old Whirlpool side by side refrigerator/freezer was about 19 cubic feet. The new one is 22 cubic feet. I was able to fit much more food in the old one than the new one. A lot of bulk in the new one, less storage space on shelves, and, of course, the new box takes up more floor space. 6. Just one more thing. The temperature control box is on the upper left side of the refrigerator. The bottom of the box does not reach the top shelf which means there are about 4” of empty space between the bottom of the box and the shelf. I guess I can put about ten slices of salami there :(( 7. The freezer seems narrower than the old freezer and that makes organizing items quite difficult. Overall the interior of this new side by side refrigerator/freezer is very poorly designed. Glass shelves are like living in a glass house. My frustrations are endless trying to figure out where to put what. Oh, and by the way, I could buy another glass shelf to utilize much of the empty space, but that would cost me $175 plus tax.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator is as advertised however it lakes a meat compartment and the shelves are glass but none pull out or roll out for convenience. I like the deeper shelving on the refrigerator door but the shelving seems somewhat fragile and I'm not certain how they will hold up over time. The shelves on the freezer door are skimpy and have too much space on the bottom for food to fall out. I adore the fact that I do not have to have an ice maker or that it takes up space.

Love this refrigerator! Sleek with LOTS of space for just the 2 of us with plenty shelving plus the door shelves are huge. Runs quiet in a very small space. In-store rep was extremely knowledgeable with a humorous personality. Delivery team was very friendly and efficient, yet also took the time to review the features, function of the refrigerator and how to report any issues that may arise. Great product!

sturdy fridge, only thing is that the width is 1 inch wider than advertised I believe, so it barely fit the space left for it.

Also, the top shelf should have another lower level to choose from. I want more top space and no way to adjust. Also, the door shelves don't hold very well. You hit it unexpectedly and the shelve falls out. Twice already.

The average freezer temp is 0. It does not keep ice cream hard. Whirlpool sent out a factory serviceman. He took a temp reading (while the compressor was blowing out cold air) and it read -5. He said that was withing factory specs - nothing was wrong. The problem is when the compressor is off the freezer temp goes back up It averages around 0 degrees. The re fridge side temp is fine but the freezer side is terrible. Don't buy this one!!!!!!!

Somewhat loud and the doors don’t line up, so the handles are off by 1/4”. Ruler across the top of the 2 doors easily shows this issue. Otherwise does what its supposed too.
