The dryer is a good size. It is a large capacity dryer. It was the same size as the the previous dryer, yet it was still a few inches shorter. It has good options for drying. The wrinkle guard feature was nice. The dryer also has the ability to sync to an app on your phone. I signed up for the trial period to see how it works. You can hit the remote enabled button in order to allow you to start the dryer from your phone. You have to do that each time the door opens and shuts if you want to enable it from the phone as a safety feature. it was nice to look at the app though to see how many minutes were left in the cycle when upstairs. The delivery team installed the feet of the dryer before bringing it in the house. That was the only issue and why I took off one for quality. They were able to screw the foot in past the stopping point and could not get it to back out. I was able to get the piece to back out. I had to keep the feet backed out just a bit to keep it from going back up in the unit. But it is solid and the unit is level. The last thing was a matter of preference. I liked the idea of the door opening downward. I dropped less close on the floor. The only down side about the downward opening door versus to the side was when getting the clothes out from the back. Just a matter of preference. The dryer did a great job drying, had several features and was quiet. Great replacement.

We really like the Whirlpool 7.4 cu. ft. 240-Volt Chrome Shadow Smart Electric Vented Dryer with AccuDry System. It is quiet and has features that we find useful, and it's Energy Star Certified. Our old dryer always over dried our cloths. Now with the Accudry System those days are in the past. The controls are super simple. You can use the dryer guide or customize settings that work for you. Since I have a skin condition I really appreciate the Sanitize Cycle. It kills 99.9% of household bacteria. We can't find anything we don't like about this dryer. Highly recommend it. The noise in the video is the cloths washer, not the dryer.

I just received this dryer and I haven't had a chance to play with the many bells and whistles on it yet. When I took it out of the box, I was shocked at how compact it is, compared to our old dryer. I opened the door and my jaw dropped. The drum on this dryer is huge and deep! It was a breeze to set up and, while dryers can hardly be called sexy, this one can. It is beautiful. It has sensors that will turn it off when the clothes are dry, which reduces the amount of energy used. I can't wait to play with this thing!

We have been using the Whirlpool 7.4 cu. ft. 240-Volt Chrome Shadow Smart Electric Vented Dryer with AccuDry System for two weeks and we have found it to be a wonderful dryer. We have run all kinds of loads and all sizes. The sensor works great. The time always seems to adjust perfectly and in almost every load the total time is reduced significantly from where it starts. Basically, we feel our clothes are getting dryer faster. The control panel is easy to use with a simple touch. No dials to turn and no buttons to push that will wear out overtime. There is a good bit to learn with so many choices, but we are enjoying all the options. We really like the eco-boost; even using it our clothes are still drying faster. Some welcomed simple features are being able to turn the drum light on while the dryer is running and the door having a stop about five inches before closing so it is pretty hard to slam it shut. The lint filter, located up front behind the door, seems to do a good job. The app was easy to download and connect and is fairly user friendly. The dryer reacts within seconds of sending an action. However, after the six month free trial, (which you do not have to provide any payment information to get), there is a subscription fee. At the time of this review it is $0.99 a month per appliance. The only issue we have seen so far is when tapping on Utility Cycles the app crashes. In order to use the app you have to tap Enable Remote every time you open and close the door. If you forget to tap Enable Remote when you put the clothes in you will not be able to control the dryer from the app. Really the best reasons for the app are to monitor the time, set favorite cycles, delay the start, and put clothes on wrinkle guard if you are going to take a while to get to them. This is one of the nicest features. With your notifications turned on the app will let you know the drying cycle has ended and ask if you want to turn on wrinkle guard … which I was happy to do from the couch. Also being able to put the clothes in and start it later can come in handy. The attached video shows several screen shots from the app including where you can assign someone a laundry related task by sending them a text. Which should come with the disclosure that it does not guarantee the job will get done. While there are some nice reasons to use the app we will not pay the subscription fee once the free trial runs out. We are surprised there is a cost. Our other WiFi appliance does not require a payment to use the app. The app aside the Whirlpool 7.4 cu. ft. 240-Volt Chrome Shadow Smart Electric Vented Dryer with AccuDry System is a great dryer.

The Whirlpool Chrome shadow smart Electric dryer is 27" wide and has a large 7.4 cubic foot capacity. The door opens wide outward instead of to the side and does not get in the way, making it easy to transfer the cloths to the dryer from the washer plus you can fold cloths on the open door. The dryer has accu-dry sensor drying technology to help prevent over drying. The removable lint filter is right up front. You can create customized cycles with the intuitive controls. I have skin problems so I like the sanitize cycle that eliminates 99.9% of common household bacteria. You can activate the optional whirlpool app for suggested dry cycles and quick tips that match your wash cycle. You can help keep wrinkles from setting into clean dry fabrics with the wrinkle shield option that keeps clothes tumbling up to 150 minutes after the cycle ends or until you open the door. The chrome shadow color finish matches my whirlpool washer. The dryer has a white powder coated steel drum with light. The dryer has a one year limited warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It dries clothes so.... yay! Our one fail so far was when sheets and a blanket completed with auto sense but the blanket was still damp. Does not alert through Alexa even though it connects to her so that feature is useless.
