I bought this unit about a month ago, my community has very hard water, calcium, magnesium and iron. Soap didn’t lather very well, washing my black vehicle would always leave streaks. Since installing the unit I have see a marked difference in the lather of soap and suds. My black car doesn’t have the streaks it would have. I added bypass in the water lines to allow the unit to be replaced or removed. The bypass would keep the house water charged. The unit comes with a bypass however I felt it should be in the lines. It would be nice to have grab handles in the unit, it is guide heavy and no real place to grab to lift of slide.

So happy to have bought this unit, I installed it my self and is working smoothly....

Great water softener so far, I installed it two weeks ago. The reason for the 4-star rating is because the softener was missing a part. Customer service was good, and shipped me the missing part, which took over a week to arrive. The WhirlPool final inspection team dropped the ball with this unit. Wmac

Delivered quickly by Amazon but with a broken top. My installer said it wouldn’t affect performance but…

The product works well and is much more cheaper as compared to other brands , I recommend buying this as opposed to renting from other service providers .

I've bought and installed 3 of these units over the past 20+ years at our different homes and I'll tell ya they get the job done with no issues and providing us with soft mineral free water. One thing I do recommend is that you install a whole house pre filter (sediment and chlorine) before the softener and you'll have a trouble free system that is easy to maintain. Highly recommend!

I bought this product a month ago on sale for $689.00 saving about $200. A local water softener company wanted $3000 to install a similar appliance. I was going to have a plumber come to install it but it was over $200 so I looked at a couple of Youtubes and attempted to do it myself. This was a straight replacement and not a new installation. Thanks to Sharkbite flexible hoses, it took me all of an hour to remove the old one and install this one. Only had to cut off the existing pex pipes and attach the Sharkbites. The existing drain hoses fit perfectly. Very easy to set up following the settings instructions I have used the Whirlpool softener for a month and after a couple of hardness tests, found a setting of 8 was all I needed for perfect water. So simple, economical and efficient.

I added salt to level four at startup and a month later it's at level 3, but the salt level indicator still shows level 4. I haven't been able to find an answer on why the indicator isn't changing.

Works as described. Softens water. Installed about 2 weeks ago. Leaves a slight iodine taste in the softened water. We left the kitchen cold water tap un softened so it is not really a problem.

We needed an upgrade this one seems to do just fine

Bought N installed one months ago. It’s working good. It’s just hose size a little strange 3/8 which make it hard to find parts

Works great! I like the fact that it is easy to operate and I have the ability to initiate a backwash / cleaning cycle

We bought the unit and had our plumber install it three weeks ago. What a difference! Within a few days we could see and feel the difference to our water.

Installed this softener 18 days ago. It has recharged 12 times already. We are a household of 2 and don't have any excessive water usage. There is no way to set how often I need to recharge. It isn't as smart as it claims to be. Burning through bags of salt

Bought the softener two months ago, installed and programmed it. Extremely easy and my water feels great. Now if I can just get my appliance guy to fix my dishwasher the condition of the dishes will be the true test of this softener. I anticipate great results.

The water softener was easy to set up and maintain, and it seems to be very well made. We have only had it installed for a few months, but the difference in water is amazing. It lacks most modern appliances' wifi connections and apps, but I don't know if it needs all that.

Bought this to help get rid of the hard water stain residue in sink, on taps, tea cup scum. Working great. Taps shiny, ice cubes clear, no scum anymore

so far so good. replaced a product that was not doing the job easy to install and easy setup

We installed the softener a few months ago and am so glad we did! We had terrible water that was staining all my sinks and fixtures. Now it is so much easier to keep things clean and shiny!

We bought over 6 weeks ago and finally got from order. within a week got a plumber to install and so far functioning ok.

Unit works very well and it was fairly easy to attach to water lines
