[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my microwave that broke. Found this one to match my whirlpool gas range. It was perfect. Has all the features I need, it is a lot quieter than my old one.

We did use a handyman to install it for us. The only thing that could make it better would be if it gave off a nice solid "thump" when we close the door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is a replacement for a different Whirlpool model. There are a number of differences we are still getting used to. So far, we are very pleased with its functionality. The chime is very different and it would be nice if it came with options for a different chime. We had Whirlpool install it, so expected a supremely professional job. It was not. I'm hopeful it won't fall down after the installers gouged out a bigger hole in the upper cabinetry than was required.

Like the style, the features for heating veggies, softening butter, etc. the interior is easy to clean. However I do miss the simple 1 min. Button I had on my previous microwave. After putting something in the oven you would simply press the 1 button and it would cook for 1 minute. The fan is also very good, with 3 speeds. I am disappointed with the lighting under the microwave. There is only one, not very bright light. I recently purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and have the same concern about the lighting in the freezer. It’s very poor while the refrigerator section is bright.

We are glad we have this one as it does a great job at warming our food and plenty of options. I like the option of not having any sounds from pushing button or finished cooking. We look forward to having this unit for many years to come.

We needed to vent through the roof and wanted same model we had I love this whirlpool microwave from the look to the awesome features. Only problem is the door is not smooth to open and close, Have to almost slam it.. seems it is off a bit in how the door is aligned. But love this whirlpool microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased as a direct replacement for 10 year old whirlpool. This is not the same quality as the original. Thinner metal makes it sound "cheap" when opening and closing the door. Less programming options such as choice of sounds. When companies have to cut corners AND raise prices, only the customer looses. I had to order and return 3 of these to get one that was not dented on the front panel although there was no damage to the outer box. Very inconvenient. Retailers don't stock or display models like this so what you end up getting is a surprise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a month ago to replace the smaller 1.7cu ft. Whirlpool that died after 7 years. I'm okay with planned obsolescence considering the price--Whirlpool just means something different than it did 30 years ago. Works well enough. We use 5000k light bulbs in our house, so I tried to switch, but these no longer take standard appliance bulbs and Whirlpool only sells the more yellow bulb. Not a big deal--but they should expand their bulb color type that they sell. Outside of that, the only annoyance is the microwave forcing you to open the door anytime a job ends if you're trying to add more time. Why?? My complaint is the top mount option for the venting. The installation instructions call for you to slide the damper assembly into slots on the damper plate on top of the microwave. My old one has this plate, just like the instructions, but the new one does not. there's no way to attach the damper assembly. Tried to lookup the part, but Whirlpool only lists parts for non-warrantable appliances. Transferred me to warranty, and the model is so new, they can't find it either. how does no one at Whirlpool have access to the new model? So instead, they've twice now sent me a damper assembly (so now I have 3) and no damper plate, meaning I still cannot install my brand new microwave. The lack of communication between Whirlpool's parts and warranty departments is a joke and the amount of time and energy spent trying to get a damper plate sent is frustrating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this microwave a few weeks now! I’m loving the “sensing” feature and the interior is definitely lots better than the shiny dull white coated version. This is my first microwave with a metal rack and I’m terrified to use it. I need to do my research. Overall this is definitely a great purchase and I’d recommend Whirlpool appliances to anyone hands down!!

We have three of these in various properties. One of them the bulb broke and the socket cannot be removed. Second one-- These are sold as top of stove but the doors crack and burn and cannot take the heat from the cooking stove. It is all plastic. Third- The third one we found that the glass in the door just shattered overnite. No one hit it or abused it. Can't find any replacement glass and the door is as much as the new oven. Ridiculous and cheap product. Parts are out of stock and almost 200 plus labor of another 150 it is more than a new one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Whirlpool was 15 years old and still running. Decided to replace it with a new Whirlpool even though the old one was still running. Best move. New one slid right in Didnt have to change the wall bracket and new one runs as great as the old one. Hope to get 15 more years.

It does not have a pause feature so should you want to turn/ check your item half way, you have to hit cancel, stir/ check, and then reset the timer. When I called customer service the person I spoke to had to put me on hold and ask a “higher up” who said to just open the door, check the item and hit start so the timer would not have to be reset. This action can cause arcing and my electrician said to avoid this practice. When reheating casseroles, the sensing feature tends to overcook the item. So, no actual pause feature even though it was on the list of features, and its sensing feature overcooks. Liked my old GE Profile much better.
