My last Whirlpool refrigerator was still going strong after 12+ years. I have had this refrigerator for only four months and the door seal has already torn off. I’m very displeased with the quality.

I bought 2 of these refrigerators: one for my daughter and one for myself. I noticed that the stainless steel was corroding near the door handles on both refrigerators. (See photos) It didn’t start happening until after the warranty period. In addition, I had bought a dishwasher and the same thing is happening. I contacted Whirlpool and they won’t do anything. So, would I buy these again…no!

After seven weeks of owning our refrigerator, it broke down. We’ve had it still less than a year and the repair man has tried to fix it Five times. We are using our 23 year old refrigerator that was moved into the garage …because we can no longer trust our new one! I have a feeling Whirlpool will not help us and this will continue until are warranty is up then we will be out the $1500 we paid and a new refrigerator that we can’t trust.

This refrigerator is great! Fits exactly in the space I needed. Functional interior and looks nice on the outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the features. Wide open doors. Divided meat tray. Temperature control. The easy to clean exterior finish . The reason I only gave 4 stars is there was no information for those who don't hook up the ice maker. It was 2 weeks before we realised that we had to shut off the ice maker that was not in use and not hooked up. We found out on line when we tried to find out why the fridge was so noisy at intervals.

This refrigerator has an internal water dispenser. When you replace the water filter, the directions say you have to bleed the line for air. The water dispenser in my unit continues to drip, according to several reps with Whirlpool and Home Depot, it’s caused by air in the line. Nothing fixes it and no one helps. Water drips down the cabinet on the inside of the fridge and causes rust on the inside of the cabinet. They have called it cosmetic damage each time on the phone. No answers.

Just installed. Tried to remove adhesive from the top of the freezer and it scratched it. I just used a sponge and warm water. Don’t buy black. Regretting it already.

Brand new dont work. Refrigerator 72 freezer40 Home Depot told us to bring back, another day off work and 2 1/2 hour drive. not sure what’s going on. Whirlpool used to be a good brand! Am not happy with Home Depot or. whirlpool.

Just the type of fridge I wanted, especially after $am$ung repeatedly failed to deliver as promised. Love inside water dispenser and extra wide bottom drawer, but makes constant clicking noises that can be heard around the house. Not loud just annoying.

Overall this fridge is still working well over two years after purchase. Sometimes food freezes in the fridge when it's full orn stuff gets pushed to the back. Eventually it will go into the garage and we'll get a better and larger one when we move.

We purchased this refrigerator in 2016. From the moment we got it, we could never get the doors to align correctly. The bottom freezer seal began to sag and fall out of bottom of freezer after about a year of having it. It constantly makes VERY loud noises while running. And the inner seal stopped working about two years in. We have to manually move the flapper to close the door and it has now begun to crack and split. A relatively new appliance should not have so many issues so early on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a 15 year old GE unit with this Whirlpool and it works MUCH better. The temperature is consistently and accurately controlled in both fridge and freezer compartments, and the interior lighting is nicely bright. The ice maker and cold water dispenser work very well, and the storage is spacious and well-laid-out... all except for one detail. The adjustable shelves do not extend all the way to the rear of the unit. There is almost a 2" gap at the back. Presumably this is to allow free air flow, which helps with the aforementioned uniform cooling. However, small sauce bottles will fall through this gap. Larger ones tilt towards the rear and sometimes fall over. I fixed this with a narrow board that I wired in-place (see photos). The board does not cover the entire space, so airflow should still be sufficient. Our small bottles (and our nerves) are much relieved. Aside from this small inconvenience, we highly recommend this made-in-America unit.

The counter depth option and clean style front doors is what we were looking for and fits perfectly into our kitchen design. The best feature is the water dispenser located inside the refrigerator; you can still enjoy a cold glass of filtered water. Not a huge fan of the wire baskets in the freezer however, we have adapted to them. With only two counter depth options we are pleased with our Whirpool choice.

Received Refrigerator in June. The piece holding the drawers has cracked so the drawers are crooked. And there is a hairline crack in the crisper drawer. The materials must be very cheaply made. Disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge in stainless steel to match our other appliances and wanted to move away from a side-by-side and into another french door fridge that we had at our previous house. We have built-in cabinets in our kitchen and only this exact size would fit in the space and we wanted counter depth to keep it looking sleek in the slot. Every brand had 1-2 fridges this size but we went with this Whirlpool for the look and quality. I like the ice in the pull out drawer and the water dispenser inside the fridge is a bonus, I don't like the dispensers on the outside of the fridge even though they are convenient, they just don't look appealing. The only 3 I gave was for sound levels because it's a little loud when you can hear the fridge dispensing water into the ice tray to fill it up, although just a few seconds. Otherwise, the fridge is quiet operationally. Great fridge!

Ordered this for our rental property in Florida to replace a smaller, white fridge that had started rusting. Very pleased with the storage capacity of this new one and the layout of the drawers and storage compartments. This is the first time I've had a fridge with an inside water dispenser and I really like it! No more messes on the floor between ice and water from the front - I think I'll seriously consider not having an ice or water dispenser on the outside of my fridge at home when the time comes to replace it. The ice machine worked well keeping up with our ice demands for drinks and coolers for the beach. I'm impressed with the smudge less surface of the stainless - you really can't see the finger prints!

Purchased July 2019, 1 year 4 months later compressor and fan went out. Purchased extended warranty. They could not fix in time so I received a gift card for the purchase price. Since I purchased a bundle of appliances I would have pay 700 more to replace it with the same model fridge. Very disappointed in the quality of this fridge!

Came with stainless steel handles not like the picture at all. We complained about the handles and were supposed to get replacement handles in the correct color (black) and the replacement handles arrived in stainless steel. We were really bummed as we purchased it because of the all black design to match our other appliances. Overall we ordered our fridge August 6th and are still waiting on handles it has now been (3 months) and we still don’t have the correct fridge/handles.

I purchased this refrigerator in September 2019. These are my observations after one year of use. Pros: - Good internal lighting. Easy to see refrigerator contents. - Easy to change water filter - Attractive design - Relatively quiet compared to older refrigerators I have owned Cons: - Poor quality construction and engineering as follows: - Water dispenser drips after use - Water that drips collects in the bottom of the refrigerator compartment and on the top of the freezer door gasket. This results in mildew growing on the gasket and condensation on the bottom of the glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable crisper drawer. A breeding ground for bacteria. - When closing the fruit and vegetable storage drawers they catch on the sliders that adjust the humidity in the compartments. This could have been avoided with a simple upward curving adjustment slider instead of a straight one. - When the refrigerator is set to the recommended temperature (38 degrees) fruits and vegetables with high water content (lettuce, cucumbers etc.) stored in the bottom storage drawer (immediately above the freezer compartment) will freeze, making them inedible. - It takes a relatively significant amount of force to close the left-hand door of the refrigerator. I frequently have to re-close the door after the door alarm goes off. - The door alarm is fairly faint. If you are listening to a television in a home with an open floor plan it is not easily heard over other noises. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

Check reviews about water forming on the bottom of the freezer and then melting out the bottom onto your floor. There are many reviews about that on the internet. Beware. Also, this fridge manages its temperature very poorly.

I was searching for a fridge for a month when I finally decided to just look for a fridge with high star marks and a lot of reviews and this one came up at an extremely reasonable price. My family uses a lot of condeminents, so we knew we didn't want an ice maker at the door and we store quite a bit of freezer content, so that had to reasonable size for 4 adults. The French doors allowed more middle room and the veggie/fruit space holds perfectly for what we buy. The extra storage below is nice to hold our misc fridge items. Replacing the filter is an a convenient spot and easy to do. People complained about ice noise, that doesn't bother us at all. Like most reviews say, you get used to it and don't realize its happening. If there is any complaint it's that I have to use two hands to dispense the water from inside. Wish the spout and button were closer together so I only had to use one hand, other than that very minor annoyance, I am really happy with my purchase.

My old stainless had to be polished every week! High maintenance!! I smile every time I open my new Whirlpool French door with bottom freezer drawer!

It has so much room inside and adjustable shelves to accommodate any size bottles or dishes and bowls. The drawer freezer is great with its basket and depth it holds a lot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my fridge a little over a week. I am so in love. After spending too many years with a too old and absolutely awful refrigerator it is wonderful to have an appliance that works so well, accommodates everything I put in it, keeps my ice cream solidly frozen and is as quiet as can be. There really are no words. I love this appliance so much that I find myself hugging it all too often. As I do not have access to a waterlines where the fridge is placed, I do not use the ice maker or the water dispenser, but I appreciate their placement as they take up very little space. As my kitchen is extremely narrow I opted for a counter depth model which gives me an additional 3-4 inches more floor space than my old model without sacrificing much interior space. The vegetable/fruit bins could be a bit deeper, but that’s a small criticism. Overall, although I just received it last week (delivery was delayed from March due to the pandemic,) I am over the moon.

I love how easy it is to get to everything. One of the two problems we are having is that it's hard to get the temperature right in the refrigerator. When I have asparagus or anything sitting in water the water ices up. I'm getting a service man to check that out. The real issue is at the bottom of the door handles, the stainless steel has a white haze that does not clean off and whirlpool says that's not part of the warranty and also the extended warranty that I had purchased doesn't cover it. So I'm thinking that they know about the problem since it's not covered. I waited after a year to call about the stainless steel which was a bad mistake. See the the picture of the stainless issue. I had my refrigerator for 1 year 10 months.

Purchased this model for the following reasons: 1) Brand 2) Stainless 3) I wanted the water and the ice maker internal as this is being used as a second refrigerator in the basement 4) Wanted a French door model 5) Wanted 25 cu or larger. Currently not using the ice maker or the inside water dispenser so I cannot comments on these 2 features. I already have a GE Profile and it has been great refrigerator for 15 years and wanted a dependable Brand. I read reviews on GE, Maytag, Whirlpool and the Kitchen Aid models but found this model to be the best fit for a nice stainless refrigerator with internal ice maker and water dispenser. On top of that, this model was on sale too. The delivery guys did an EXCELLENT job delivering the unit and carrying it into my basement. It took less than 2 hours after being plugged in for the refrigerator to be cold and to start adding items to the refrigerator and freezer. Interior lights are bright, shelves are adjustable and you even get the pull out drawer for veggies or whatever works for you. The only feature that could be improved is the cold settings for the refrigerator and the freezer. The setting options are from 1 to 7 and these setting don't indicate how cold the settings are for 1 to 7. My GE Profile displays the actual temp for the freezer and the refrigerator and this is a necessary feature in my opinion. Outside of not having a temp reading, this is a great Brand and Model at a great value. Lots of room to store lots of groceries.
