I purchased this in order to get a clear and consistent signal from a local PBS tower 28 miles away. All the other major channels were already coming in clear. Although this preamp is meant for outdoor, i connected it to my indoor flatwave antenna that i have mounted on the window. The set up was straightforward and easy. Not much of instructions, just a diagram for the respective hookups. You must supply your own stand alone coaxial cable to run it from the preamp to your TV. I would advise going to the Wineguard website to obtain more information. After completing the hookups and plugging in the ac adapter, the PBS channel came in loud and clear. I was astonished. Surfed through the remaining channels to check if there were any distortions caused by the preamp. All was fine. The preamp is laying on the windowsill. I kept the TV on the PBS station , and after half hour there was some distortion, intermittently, but the station didn't black out. Probably due to high interference during that time of day in the Big Apple. Now it is evening, and the interference is gone. This has been a 100% improvement in the PBS station quality. Very happy with purchase. Can't wait to watch Luther on (BBC series) , restarting in January. Happy new year!

Installed in my window. pick up over 72 digital channels and 12 radio stations. i have 2 TVs and it has worked very well with both of them. I live in tucker ga. My friends and family are considering doing this after they see the HD stations I get.. very pleased.

Doesn’t seem to help with getting many tv station waste of money

I was hoping it would boost a little stronger than it did. Still not getting one channel. Very well.

It work i live out in country I could get one channel on my antenna did I got one Winegard Boost XT now I got 14 more channels it work

I have the winegard HD7694 antenna on the roof which alone gets 20 channels. With an antronix MRA1-15 booster in the basement, it brings in about 32 channels. Putting the winegard signal booster on the antenna, power module in basement, I ended up with 45 channels with some not in the direction of the antenna. The transmitters are all within 35 miles, three directions using a directional antenna pointed at most 20 of the stations. All of the rest are due to the antenna size(medium), the booster, the RG-6 cable runs for less signal loss, and good tuners on the Samsung TVs. So yes this did work, but better tuners on the TV added channels over just the signal booster. Do not skimp on the roof mount antenna, booster, or cabling available at HD, check out antenna man for antenna/booster reviews before spending money.

I was getting 38 channels hooked this beauty up and got 8. Tried multiple tvs and configurations. I am calling snake oil on this one!!!

I was tired of not getting in NBC without it pixilating. We live only 40 miles from the tv station, but there are trees in the way. I installed the winegard booster according to the instructions. I did not get any new stations, but I am happy that I now get NBC without hardly any pixilating at all. So it did boost the signal strength. I do get 35 stations now whereas I only got 28 before. I can pretty much leave the antenna in one spot now instead of having to readjust it for different programs. I am very happy with this booster.

My amplifier was installed in my garage, not the garage attic, and initially it worked great. Because of the 100 degree ambient outside temperatures my garage temperature reached a 100 degrees too. Because of the high temperatures the amplifier quit working. After the temperature decreased the amplifier started working again. The amplifier is rated to work outdoors so should operate at these temperatures. I will return it to Home Depot.

Doesn’t work at all. With the device hooked up I get roughly 40 channels. Hooked up I get zero. And I installed it exactly as the directions say.

The Winegard LNA-200 has the lowest noise figure and highest resistance to overload. I have tried every preamp on the market and the Winegard is the only one that doesn't suffer from overload and the one that gets me the most channels

My reception was better with this amp REMOVED. I had 50+ channels with it installed and around 40 with it installed. Not sure what was wrong but this was a disappointment.

Made many unwatchable channels watchable in my area. A few are still experiencing issues in the worst weather conditions but not otherwise. Overall a large improvement. Hope this doesn't break. Would recommend.

Easy to install. Brought back the weaker stations that I had lost.

Improved my signal strength on some channels 5 points on some channels, 20 points on some channels and 0 on others. I get more channels now.

Item did not boost anything. It actually was worse than just the coax run by itself. I have tired three other signal boosters and this was the worse of them. I would run into degregation of signal, not enough boost, or loss of channels. Finally had to spend more money on a ChannelMaster that is currently doing what its suppose to.

No problems, very easy to setup. May be over-powered for my area, but I have been disappointed before. Went with the extra amplifier, which may be making a big difference. You'll still lose picture during heavy thunderstorms, but other wise rock solid with a more detailed image.
