Purchased two of these a few years apart kind of like giving a restaurant a "second chance" after a first bad meal. First one did not improve or make reception worse. This latest second one, got about 1/2 the number of stations I got without using it at all.

Very happy with it. Cleared up the channels that I could barely get, and added several more I didn’t think I would get!

Needed this amplifier too recieve channels 30 miles away even with a new antenna. Provided the needed gain.

Easy to set up and works well.

Easy install in existing antenna wiring. Used in an attic for an existing antenna. Required an additional short piece of cable with connectors on the end. Gained a two additional channels and dramatically improved reception on all other channels.

I'm disappointed, I installed new amplifier and it performed worse than the RCA amp I had with a smaller gain. I ended up putting the old amp back in place.

Works great pulling signal in, to bad it doesn't hold it all day. To many trees, oh well.

No issues install or operation

May work somewhere else but not where I live. Before I installed it (with a new antenna) I had 86 solid channels. When I installed this preamplifer and re-scanned the channels, I only had 21. So I took it out of line, re-scanned and had the original 86 channels. So for my application, it was just like throwing $42.99 out the window. Made my antenna cost $42.99 more. I should have bought the next bigger antenna without this amplifier and I would have be money ahead. Do not know if it is defective or just an over priced piece of junk

This amp was easy to install. I used it to replace a 25 year old radio shack amp. This amp netted 2 more additional channels than my old amp. Home Depots price was very competitive for this item.

I purchased this for a new outdoor antenna install due to fears that the signal would be degraded by the long lengths of cable running through my house. I have about 125' of RG-6 between the power inserter and the amp and it works fine except during time of interference from a local source. I have about another 100' or so going to 2 tvs and only about 50' to a third and all have solid reception at 56 miles from the transmitters. I only gave it 4 stars because it was susceptible to interference from a local source and from lightning because it is not shielded. I wrapped it in foil and that reduced interference issues dramatically so will now have to make an aluminum enclosure for it.

Made a big difference in the reception on our old TV antenna. I installed it right at the antenna because I had easy access.

Actually had less channels when used. We called customer service. They stated that this is not unusual.

I put up an antenna that said it received VHF & UHF channels (replacing a big Channel Master that received all channels without amp). It did get all but one UHF and did not get three of the VHF channels that I use to get. It claims to reach out to 70 miles, I'm 40 miles as the crow flies from the broadcast antenna farm in Pa. I installed this pre-amp and I got back the one missing UHF channel. I also got back the three VHF channels but one or two of them will pixelate depending on the weather or atmosphere conditions. I expect that if I would have purchased another amp that claims 25 DB gain that I would have received all these channels all the time. Since my TV is mounted on the wall, the ability to plug this amps power injector into a USB port instead of using the optional power cube made for a nice hidden wire installation, a definite plus!

Easy to install. Worked as it should to boost my antenna signal to 3 TVs.

Seems to keep the signal from any pixelation. I have it connected outside about 12 inches from the antenna .

Worked very well for our attic antenna.

Did not make any difference in my reception. However getting up on the roof is a pain so I just left it connected and after some time it failed totally and blocked all stations.

This preamplifier works as advertised and is simple to set up. It is important to mount this as close to the antenna as possible. If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area, and are dismayed by dropouts from Channel 5 and Channel 21 due to the recent (summer 2019) move in frequency, this preamplifier solves those problems! Channel 21 was my worst channel, and thanks to this preamp, it is now the best! The amplifier has 18dB gain.

The Winegard boost xt really brings the channels in

I tried it but returned after a week.. I am sure it would work better if I were closer to the towers. It does get great reviews if you are closer to the broadcast towers. I am 40 miles with hills in between along with trees in my yard.
