These pre-finished poles were a surprise to me but I’m glad the Home Depot had them. We could keep the all-white closet motif going without having to paint the rods. The coating on these is vinyl which has the added benefit of letting the hangers slide a bit easier than they would on wood by itself. We hang a lot of clothes on these and they don’t sag at all. Great product.

The product is 96" in length, small circumference, not very dense and lightly painted white closet pole. It was $16 in July of 2020 in Orlando, Florida. Depending on what Home Depot you are at, you can cut it yourself or they will offer to cut it for you. It will need one or more center support means (brackets / vertical support divider) since bowing occurs at 6 feet or longer in length when minor weight is applied.
Before purchasing this product they sold me another "closet" pole for under $3 per linear foot AND they offered to cut it to size for me. They then gave me the sockets to go with it, and I left pleased with the customer service I experienced. This very different pole was 5 stars since it was sturdy and did not bow at 75" in length; however, it was too wide for the sockets pulled from the shelves for me to use. I went back to exchange the sockets for a larger size. Turns out they did not have anything that would provide horizontal support for this item. They realized they cut and sold me a dowel, and they would not take it back. I explained I asked for a closet pole when I walked in, to which they responded natural or white painted and I relied upon their expertise to guide me to the correct product after I said I preferred natural wood (unpainted). I asked, wondering why they took me to the wood trim section, "This IS a closet pole". They reassured me it was. YOU must make sure the Home Depot sells you the right product or you will pay more than double for an item you may not be allowed to return.
