Finger jointed pine is a step up from MDF. However the paint job is mediocre with lots of drips. Every board has dings or small cracks. Not available in 16 foot lengths at the time of writing requiring lots of joints.

Easy to work with and cut. Look is great on the wall. It really dresses up the new floors. Comes nicely primed and ready for paint

the primer or method used on these is horrible... big huge chunks of paint are on a lot of them, straks and runs, I had to literally sand and prep each board prior to painting them. Also a few were cracked / damaged.. the QA on these is horrible prior to shipping...

We ordered 24 boards and 8 boards were damaged and cracked.

I order this to finish off my bathroom that I am redoing. I ordered 8 and I am thankful that I did. One of the pieces has a crack down the middle of the board for about 2 feet which renders this part of the board unusable and and another piece has the end broken off for about 6 inches . I cannot believe that Home Depot would ship pieces out like this but they did. Now I am totally glad that I ordered the other board as this will give me enough to finish. If I had not ordered the extra board I would be short and then would have to wait another week for this to be delivered. I am totally amazed that Home Depot does not do a better quality check when shipping out trim. This is just unacceptable to have 2 pieces broken (out of 8) and not one person notices. At least I have enough to finish my bathroom unless I screw up a cut. Home Depot--- this is totally unacceptable and you need to start doing a better job of looking over orders before shipping. Not happy with your service.

After reading reviews I was afraid the moulding would come in damaged and I would have to wait for more but all arrived in perfect condition, well packaged and also arrived exactly on time! A great product.

Over all the material is acceptable. Some pieces were split at the top , but still use able for my project. The convenience of home delivery still makes this purchase a good option.

All material was clean and uniform. Was exactly what we ordered for the job.

Easy to use, nicely primed. Some of them have tiny imperfections at the edges but nothing the wood filler can't take care of.

I was happy with the molding. I bought 21 of these and only one was damaged. It was only slightly damaged.

I went to the home depot to look for this, but they didn't have any in stock just my luck it ships for free on their site so I placed and order and hoped for the best. All the pieces came mostly intact. I will be ordering more soon to finish the rest of the house.

Order extra. The nice pieces are great, but half of them come in cracked or have holes. I ended up ordering twice and returning half of the product to the store.

I purchased online and shipped to home. It is used in my living and dining rooms. Look great.

I orderred this base moulding, after installing laminate flooring to update our living room. It was so worth spending the extra pennies for real wood. They came pre-primed. Easy to cut with my miter saw, and easy to tack into the wall. One board did have a foot-long crack in it, but I had enough to complete the job. I want to order more to finish the halls, and rest of the house.

I was very pleased with the final look following the installation of the baseboards in my entire home. The product was exactly as described and I'm glad I went with the wider width.

I'm a contractor and a home owner, and it was definitely a surprise to get such a nice product(woodwork/trim) through the mail without picking out every piece myself. A dollar less per foot online and still just as good if not better than the stuff in the store.

I wasn't sure about how satisfied I would be with this product being shipped without my personal visual inspection of it, but it turned out just great and was delivered early! It was cut easily and No worries about warping or dings, and it looked fantastic in my living room to compliment the crown moulding. A coat of paint and it changed the whole look of the room I was very pleased.

I opted for this baseboard, as it was cheaper than the poplar options, but sturdier and nicer than the MDF boards. As a carpenter, you notice the difference in quality, and can appreciate the high-end finishes. Overall I was satisfied with the product. It is head and shoulders better than the MDF baseboard (which is just a junk product overall - use wood.), but it tended to split a bit more than the poplar or pine I've used in the past. I don't know for sure, but I think it might be a wood/plastic blend. Either way, it just took a little getting used to. I normally go with poplar, but I would certainly use this product again. It looks great installed.
