I've purchased several Wooster Pro paint brushes and am very happy with their performance and longevity. They hold up extremely well in many different paints and stains.
I just completed 3 decks for different people using solid stain and was extremely impressed with how fast and easy the material applied and spread out without brush strokes.
Excellent product! I will continue purchasing Wooster Pro brushes well into the future!
Wooster Pro 4 in. Nylon/Polyester Flat Brush is a good choice for a high quality brush. Its large and thick with bristles, a tight brass ferrule, wood handled nicely made. Nylon makes it fine for latex, oil, acrylic paint bases and stains. Its a good size brush for bigger projects where one prefers a brush to a roller like finishing up a wooden deck. Certain jobs I like to use a brush for getting in and around where a roller is too cumbersome. You can get a 5” brush, but this one does the job just as good. The nylon/polyester bristles are ideal for water based paints which I mostly use these days. It holds plenty of paint and should clean up nicely. I normally use inexpensive brushes for fast small jobs so appreciate a better quality one when I get one. These better ones stay together longer and don't throw bristles on the work. They will eventually go, the bristles weaken and snap, but that's down the road after a long while. This one is especially thick with bristles and will hold plenty of paint to the job. If cleaned thoroughly better brushes will last and last. A tip is to dampen it in water and pat any excess water before putting it in latex paint. This will make cleanup faster and keep the center of the brush bristles less likely to clog up. Its a good brush so you want to keep it around as long as possible.
