Doesn't hold proper pressure, slams closed regardless of countless attemps in adjusting closure speed!😡

Had high hopes for this closer as replacement for Anderson storm door. Unlike the photos shown on website or on big box retailer website, the EZ hold button is NOT on top but on the side. This prevents the storm door from fully closing and latching as the button hits the front door. This closer was installed per the instructions. Terrible design on this closer.

I had high expectations for this replacement door closure for my Anderson storm door. It seems heavy duty enough, but after installing it the tap and hold button hits up against the front door, and the storm door will not close completely and latch. This is a poor design. The original storm door closer that came with the Anderson storm door, the tap and hold botton was on the top not on the side.

This works well but if you open the door wide it automatically locks the door in place, then you have to remove a pin and pull the shaft out to release the teeth to allow operation again.

I see that others are having the same issue where the button hits the main door and the door won't latch. So stupid. If your door jamb is ~2-3/4" from the outside edge to the inside of the weather strip, don't buy this closer. Super crappy instructions.

I have had two Wright heavy duty door closures on the same security door. The first one lasted about a month. The second one jammed the day it was installed. That’s about $40.00 wasted.

Easy install but broke the first time I opened the door.

I would maybe recommend this product if that was an option. I purchased this to replace the bottom door closer for my front storm door after 7+ years of use. I wish Larson made the exact door closer replacement available to purchase separately in stores at a reasonable price. The cap of the door tap keeps falling off. The closer fits too close to door and with the sun’s heat the cap stuck to the door and took some paint off the door. The product should be designed like the original product, with the tap closer on top. I’m a little disappointed but this will have to do. Still trying to adjust the settings on the closer. It is still not the same as the original closer that came with the door. The door closer automatically holds open when I don’t need it to. It allows flies and bugs to get in. It should work like the old one. When opening the door I should be able to tap it if I need it to stay open, not every time I open the door it stays open and I have to push it out further to get it to close. I have to make sure I close the door shut after use. I have had to replace both the top and bottom closers on my storm door with Wright products.

I have had two of these and both habe broken at the same point. Will nevee buy one of these again.

I'm sure it is great but I had to return it for the medium closer as my door wasnt wide (thick) enough to accommodate it.

I was concerned that this product would not fit my door since it was a Pella custom storm door... BUT I took the old one with me and compared the two. Home Depot offer a stander Tap N Go Closer and a Heavy Duty. I decided to get the Heavy Duty Tap N Go Closer. The installation was amazingly easy and the product worked right away. There was no need to do any adjustments at all. My bottom bracket (the one I left in place from the original door installation) would come loose. So once I got this product in place and working great.... I took two of the screws and put them at the ends of the bracket adjustment slot. This way the brackets will never move out of place. I highly recommend this product..

This is an adequate device for the money however the tapper device popped off after about 6 months so doesn't do you much good. The retaining pin that holds it won't stay in place and the plastic cover wont snap back on.

I bought a door closure. It opened but wouldn't retract

I bought this as a replacement for the original closer. It lasted 3 weeks before the frame attachment broke. I am a Licensed Home Builder, and this is pure junk.

Device malfunctioned instantly .after installation

almost closes and then ratchets close.

I ran into two major issues with the closer. 1. Didn't allow screen door to open 90 degrees, and 2. Easy latch button is hit by the interior door when closed and pops off. Not recommended.

The instructions are in really small print, but it was easy to install and works really well.
