I bought one of these on impulse. I liked it so much I replaced one of my custom-built cameras with it. It now sits at the front door, held up by a 3d printed mount I made. If you need one, check thingiverse. Mine isn't the only one either. There are TONS of free third party accessories for this camera.
The tiny little box contains literally everything you need to take full advantage of this camera. It contains a microSD card, power supply, and magnetic mount. The simple arm and pivot mechanism makes aiming the camera very simple. The built in mic is very sensitive and the speaker is exactly as loud as you'd want it to be. Firmware updates are easy and can be done in app or via SD card. The image quality is very good too.
What really impressed me is the software. The wyze camera app is very clean and simple to use. It lets you easily see, hear, and speak through the camera. Setup is simple. You press a button on the bottom and show the camera a QR code on your phones screen. It's that simple. They have person detection, auto night vision, it even has a feature that lets you turn off the IR LEDs if you are placing the camera in front of glass so they won't reflect back into the camera. That's exactly what I did with mine and it was so thoughtful they did this. I thought I would have to modify something but they thought of everything. This is a very well thought-out camera. The developers also have a special branch of firmware that adds RTSP support so you can use aftermarket software with the camera. With homebridge on my server, I can even check this camera out on my Apple Watch!
I liked it so much, I bought my sister one for her new baby. We tethered it to the head of a stuffed giraffe aimed at his crib with a rubber band. The only thing it doesn't do that her old baby monitor did was check the temperature of the room. It had better image quality, a more sensitive mic, and motion and sound detection that throws a phone notification when my nephew wakes up. She is now able to zoom in so close see the baby breathing, even in the dark. Her old old nanny cam couldn't do that. It didn't have the image quality. This was also MUCH cheaper than the baby cam she was using before. My brother in law likes that he can check in on him any time he wants while at work too.
For $20, you can't miss this.
