This 5 in Rotating Vise is very solidly constructed, with clean, nicely machined features. It operates smoothly and feels like a high quality product. The rotating head is extremely handy for the work I do, and makes it easy to hold my workpiece either horizontally or vertically, or anywhere in between. I would definitely recommend this item.

Works great, easy to use
Works great for me, I bought it based on other reviews and the fact it is slightly oversized for general garage use for me. The rotating head is a very nice feature.

Absolutely great vise! Bought this for multifunction garage use. Heavy duty and versatile. The rotating head adds a lot of function, and can be locked out if not desired. I wanted a single vise to use for anything and everything (home/garage use). This works for sharpening mower blades (with angle grinder), hammering on automotive parts, and anything else I have needed it for recently. I assume it will last for many years to come

I did a lot of research before purchasing this vise. My old vise was beat up, but still worked. However, once I saw the rotating head, I wanted a vise with this feature. The first thing I discovered was that many similar rotating vises of all brands have complaints about breaking. The only brand I could find that had no such complaints was Yost. One notable difference in the specifications for the Yost was weight. Other brands listed their weight around 33 pounds and the Yost listed the shipping weight at 42 pounds. I called Yost and spoke to customer service before purchasing the vise. I was told that the 750-E weighed 38 pounds. I figured the extra 5 pounds were the difference between a vise that broke and one that did not. However, when my vise arrived the box felt light. The shipping weight was actually 35 lbs and the vise itself weighed 32 pounds. I then checked the other specs. The throat depth was 2 3/4", not the advertised 3". Also, the width and opening were both less than the advertised 5". The vise also does not look like the one in the picture. There is no name plate and the set screw is in a different location. Cosmetically, it looks nice, but it also looks exactly like other brands except for the brand name cast into the side. I called Yost after receiving the vise to discuss all of this. Essentially I was told that they have a new supplier which accounts for the differences. If you only do light work, this will be a nice vise. I did not want to worry, however, that it might break if I had to do anything heavier. I returned it and bought a 750-DI. Finally, I would like to explain something about the operation of these rotating vises that most people do not appear to understand. The purpose of the set screw in the side is not to prevent the vise from spinning when it is in use. It is only used to position the vise while you clamp down on the item you want to work on. When you tighten the vise there is another internal mechanism that locks the rotation mechanism. You can actually release the set screw and the unit will not rotate as long as the vise is closed on some object.

Like the rotating head idea, and it's OK for general use, but would not use it in a professional situation. It is Chinese made, and am not certain it would hold up in that arena. Jaws are substantial, but the swivel base is {IMO} looser than it should be. Have only owned it a short time, but at its price point, it seems to be reasonable.

Seems quite solid
Mounted on the front left corner of the workbench, it is able to rotate and be useful on both the left side or the front of the bench, and is also able to roll over vertically. Came with some good instructions for how to install it (that were partially shredded during shipping, but still legible). The packaging was mostly destroyed by this HEAVY vise during shipment, but the vise itself did not sustain any damage.
Definitely larger than I had imagined, make sure to check dimensions. I am amazed how many times I have found myself using it in the past month. Solid construction, holding up well to some pretty heavy torque. The rotation in the horizontal plane is a pretty finicky, but once clamped down seems rock solid. The rotation in the vertical plane is smooth as butter. I greased all moving parts heavily as soon it came to protect from wear and rust, and put a layer of oil on everything else. Even so, it has started to show a touch of rust on the top anvil. Great Vise for the price though, I recommend it.

Strong vise
Love the vise. It's a little hard to rotate, but other than that it's great. Much better than some of the other stuff out there. I broke two on the same project before I bought this one. It worked.
