Worked as advertised, quality product, simple installation, pressure preset from factory

My water valve broken but the old valve model was discontinued. So, I bought three (3) new valves, and surprisingly, the most inexpensive one the Zurn NR3XL which was Made in China was a direct fit w/o modification required. It saved my day!

The information on website is incorrect. Listed as being able to handle 180° temperature. After I Purchased the valve I found it handles only 140° temperature. They need to correct information on the website. I was on able to use the valve because I have a temperature of 160°.

It worked great the home had 115 psi. before I installed it I set it at 60 psi. and homeowner was very happy with it . The old one was the original to the house -house was built in 1973

Fit like a glove for my application. Easy to install. Fixed my problem. My old one I replaced, the screen inside was clogged. We have very hard water where we live. Works like a charm. Has FPT on both ends with or without the union. Stock photo shows 2 unions but it came with only one which worked fine for me. I included some photos which may help others.

This replaced the exact same model of Wilkins pressure reducing valve that was 17 years old and leaking from the tip at the pressure adjustment screw. The threaded coupling fittings made for an easy and fast replacement. I checked the water pressure after installation it was now 50 psi versus 80-90 psi with the old leaking valve.

JF Denny installed this for me and added a pressure guage, this will allow me better monitor the water pressure in the house.

This part was a replacement piece for our home. We have done this twice so far - so they don't last, but that is due to water quality in the area that leads to replacement every 5 - 7 years. Thankfully the part came overnight and our issues were solved. Very satisfied customers with Home Depot and Wilkins.

Replacement was a perfect match

JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED.

Seems to be solidly made, reduced the pressure to my sprinklers from 100 down to around 55. It comes with good instructions and troubleshooting info. It comes with a union coupling for one side that makes it a lot easier to install.

It fit the relaced valve. Works well.

ZURN offers this water pressure deducing valve with server different options for union connections, including no connections. Beware that the model sold by HD includes only a SINGLE UNION FNPT CONNECTION. I was replacing the exact model and did not need the unions, but sure could have used two new union gaskets (rubber washers) to replace existing. The union gaskets seem to be an odd size. I visited two plumbing supply houses, including a ZURN distributor, without success.

Had to return it. It just came with one union and one union gasket. Went to Home Depot to get another union for the other side and was told “we don’t sell them”, so I had to go to plumbing store and got another pressure reducing valve with 2 unions.

3/4” pressure reducer doesn’t come with gaskets. Poor manufacturing practice. I went to couple shops still couldn’t find one. So I used other gaskets cut to fit it. For the best it should be made with grooved O ring. It’ll be much easier to install. The one I bought on line was returned because both envelope and package box are torn opened and retapped. Upon inspection the part, joint area has a dent. So I drove 20 miles to get one in shop.
