Hi Kris10 - The 5-gallon buckets are 14.5" tall. I do not have control over the specs that Home Depot displayed but I can put it in the details section. Thank you for the feedback.

What is the mix ratio cement to water
            ByJul 26, 2026
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

MACHINE MIXING QUIKRETE® Fast-Setting Concrete can be hand mixed or machine mixed in a barrel-type concrete mixer or a mortar mixer. Allow at least 3/4 cu ft (21 L) of mixer capacity for each 50 lb (22.6 kg) bag to be mixed at one time. Add approximately 4 pt (1.9 L) of potable water to the mixer for each 50 lb (22.6 kg) bag to be mixed. Turn on the mixer and begin adding concrete. If the material becomes too difficult to mix, add small amounts of water at a time and continue to work the mix until a workable consistency is obtained. Maximum water is expected to be below 5 pt (2.3 L) of water per 50 lb (22.6 kg) bag. HAND MIXING Empty bags into a suitable mixing container. Add approximately 4 pt (1.9 L) of potable water for each 50 lb (22.6 kg) bag. Work the mix with a shovel, rake or hoe; add water as needed until a stiff, moldable consistency is achieved. Be sure there are no dry pockets of material. Do not leave standing puddles of water. Maximum water is expected to be below 5 pt (2.3 L) of water per 50 lb (22.6 kg) bag.

Homer buckets are great. They are as well built as any other 5GA bucket I own and they are usually less money. The top works well when I need it sealed. I use them for pet food, water, buckets for mosquito dunks, and tool dumps. I probably don't go to Home Depot without picking up another bucket or two.

I had to do several concrete project around the house and quikrete works great for all of my projects. Would highly recommend.

This concrete mix works great to set posts in the ground. It does dry fast like the name implies so be aware that there isn't too much time to work it especially if you are pouring it into the ground to anchor a post. The rocks in it are also rather large.

Great product worked perfect for small dry pour Easy online order and fast delivery from the store. Couldn't have been easier.

It's a bucket... like many others, except it's Orange! They're strong and sturdy - enough to carry loads of dirt or rocks around. Also, they can used as improvised saw horses when in a pinch. Bought these online and saved me a trip to the store since they shipped for free. Recieved them very quickly (same or next day).

                  Excellent Value
I mean, who doesn't know about Home Depot buckets. They are what they are. I've been using them to collect rainwater for quite a while. You can also drill a few holes in them and use them as a container for tomatoes and peppers. It's almost the perfect capacity for these plants' roots. The handles are quite sturdy and easy to hold. I've moved buckets filled with soil or water all around the garden holding the handle. The color and the style keeps changing though. It would be nice if they were uniform.

We used this several years ago for a walkway and decided to use again to fix our porch entranceway dries very fast and strong. Highly recommend using this version if time is of the essence. I was able to stand of the area the next day with no problem
