Yes Duraplus is a class A chimney pipe.
Yes
The proper steps are described in the Installation Instruction section entitled TELESCOPING PIPE. It states that you slide the upper section onto the lower section until you obtain the length you require. Use screws into the predrilled holes on the bottom of that upper piece into the bottom piece. This will secure it. It does not lock itself into place, you must attach the two halves with screws.
There is a DuraBlack/DVL Chimney Adapter with Trim that serves as the transition piece between your DuraBlack Stovepipe and DuraPlus Chimney at the Support Box. Duravent offers 2 options for passing the 6" DuraPlus Chimney through a metal or tile roof. There is the 6DP-F6DSA that covers flat to 6/12 roof pitches and the 6DP-F12DSA that works on roof pitches of 7/12 - 12/12. The base plate of these flashings are made of dead soft aluminum and can be molded to match your roof profile.
If the appliance is an actual fireplace, the fireplace manufacturer will specify the proper pipe to use. If it is a woodburning fireplace, then it would be Class A Chimney the entire run. The fireplace manufacturer will dictate whether this needs to be a specific brand & model to match the connection at the fireplace outlet. If this is not a fireplace, but a free standing wood stove, that would need to start with double wall stovepipe, then transitioned to the Class A Chimney as it gets close to the ceiling.
DuraPlus is Duravent's triple wall chimney pipe. Everything labeled DuraPlus is from this same chimney system and all works together. The 6in. x 36in. piece is a 6" inside diameter, 36" length of the DuraPlus triple wall pipe. It fits the DuraPlus chimney Kits.
No the Roof Flashing in this kit only works up to a 6/12 roof pitch.
No. The triple wall DuraPlus starts at the ceiling but cannot be switched back to any stovepipe above that. The stovepipe will not offer the protection from the heat of the flue gases, or enough insulation for flue gases to stay warm to ensure good draft. The lack of insulation will lead to excess condensation and creosote formation, which can lead to chimney fires. It is dangerous to use stovepipe anywhere but the room in which the appliance is located.
