Does Duravent offer locking rings for 6” ID/10” OD triple wall stove pipe?
No, not for the Duraplus, its not needed.
What would be needed to make this work for a 14" thick wall?
A longer chimney length and a field fabricated shield extension for the thimble.
what is outside material
There are 2 options of 6" x 36" DuraPlus pipe lengths. The 6DP-36 has a galvanized outer casing. The 6DP-36SS will have a stainless steel outer jacket.
Can I use for oil furnace venting
Yes. The DuraPlus Chimney is tested and safety certified as an All-Fuel Chimney. It can be used with natural draft appliances burning gas, liquid (oil) and solid (wood) fuels.
Do I need an adapter to go from Dura plus double wall pipe two Dura black stove pipe
Yes. The adapter options are listed in the DuraBlack Stovepipe Catalog. There are Slip Connectors (6DBK-SC), Snap-Lock Adapters (6DBK-ADSL), and the DuraBlack Chimney Adapter (6DVL-ADC).
Does Duravent make a triple wall 90° elbow? I don’t see it offered anywhere and I have triple wall pipe that needs to be attached to a 90° elbow. Apparently they do not attach to each other. Thank you
The Model DVL is double wall stovepipe and we do make a 90° DVL Elbow. It can only be used in the room where the stove is located. Underwriters Laboratories, National Code and our instructions do not permit the use of 90° elbows within the chimney portion of the installation. If you are trying to go out the wall & turn vertical, that is done with a Tee from the chimney line. The Tee then allows access for inspection and cleaning. The Tee can only be used in this scenario. We do offer a Tee in the Duravent DuraPlus Chimney line.
Do these snap together one inside the other to make longer sections?
The single wall DuraBlack Stovepipe gets secured with screws. After 2 pieces are connected and the pipe seam is facing the wall, use 3 sheet metal screws, equally space around each joint. You can drill three 1/8" holes around each joint, then screw in the sheet metal screws. You can connect multiple pipe lengths to achieve longer lengths. We also offer a telescoping length that adjusts from 44" - 68" and slip connectors for adjustability.
Can this piping be used for an oil burning furnace?
The DuraBlack stove pipe is approved for use as connector pipe only. It could be used to connect your oil burning appliance to your Class A Chimney, but it can't serve as the chimney itself. Because of some of the components within fuel oil, it is wiser to use stainless steel stove pipe. The double wall Duravent DVL has a stainless steel inner liner, which would give much better product life. Plus the double wall pipe would help keep the flue gases warmer, and the draft stronger.
