I replaced the Ames made in America poly shovel (15 year warranty that they don’t honor) with this Husky Made in Brazil model with a lifetime warranty. Picture is of the old broken Ames shovel. I’m done with arguing with Ames about saving a receipt from 8 years ago to get warranty repair. Looking forward to this Husky one!

I bought this shovel at the last minute from Home Depot before our last snow storm. I wasn’t able to get to the store so I bought it online and had it delivered the same day. The shovel arrived on time and has proven to be extremely reliable. This is a great shovel at a good price point and has filled our shoveling needs. I would recommend this shovel.

Apparently you don’t make tools to hand down. First time I used this shovel it broke. I’m 70 years old. Not 19.

I bought this to chop and remove hard drifted snow from atop my roof. It has proved durable to the many impacts in the cold, and very importantly, the snow stays secure in the bucket as I toss, and then slides off perfectly with a flick. Reduces the effort of clearing my roof by 3x. I only wish the handle was a more durable aluminum instead of wood, not that the wood is any problem so far.

I’ve been mulching my own yard for years using a basic shovel to scoop the mulch out of the truck into my wheelbarrow. Year after year, truckload after truckload. Why did I do that to myself??? Picked up the husky wood handled poly scoop and now I can load mulch in a fraction of the time. The handle itself is plastic, the shaft is made out of wood. It’s light-weight making it easy to load heavy scoops of mulch without the added weight of a metal shovel.

All my life I never used a scoop shovel but I should have to move snow, seed, mulch, small stone, and loose dirt because the D-shaped handle relieves stress on the hand and the shovel bucket picks up more than a spade shovel. When i finally got this, I was grateful for its ease of use and functionality. A younger person thinks a shovel is a shovel is a shovel, or that one shovel is all the family budget allows. However, this is great for spreading dirt as seen in my pictures. My pile of delivered dirt went down quickly. This is about 51 inches long and surprisingly tough when put to task. i recommend this shovel for all the uses I said I could put it to. No digging but scooping and lifting...it is what you want with a lifetime warranty. The handle is nicely finished and smooth which counts over months and years of use. One thing to note-the shovel scoop is poly and not aluminum so how well it holds up is to be seen but so far, so good.

I wasn't prepared for how large the scoop on this shovel really is! I could use this as a snow shovel next winter. As for scooping up large loads - if you're strong enough - this shovel is for you. This shovel is well-balanced and the shorter handle makes it easy for someone short like me to use. I imagine this will come in handy around the yard when I have stuff to clean up or move. And I like that the head is attached with a screw vs. a rivet.

As scoop shovels go, this is a good quality tool. I live on a lake and our shoreline accumulates a considerable amount of debris that needs regular cleaning. It's always been a chore to keep clean. But with this shovel the job has gotten a lot easier and much quicker as the 31 inch design can pick up a lot of that raked debris in a single scoop. (photos included) I might not recommend this shovel for most commercial applications as it is made of a poly vinyl material and may not wear well in certain jobs. But for what I'm using it for it's ideal as the poly material keeps it light weight yet can still handle that heavy lake debris. It can also move loose sand and dirt quite efficiently.

I'm a city boy and don't have grain or seed to scoop, which is the primary application for this plastic shovel. However, the short handle, deep smooth scoop, and light weight make it handy for the small amounts of Carolina snow we occasionally get. For that purpose it should work fine. That said, the scraping edge seems vulnerable to asphalt or concrete surfaces. There's an aluminum version, but aluminum can be a little sticky in wet snow. Proportions are good and the D-handle is comfortable. In general, I've been very pleased with Husky products over the decades and they typically offer excellent value.
