When I bought this set in HD a couple of years ago, it came with a physical key; now, when I need to use it, it won't turn or work. What can I do?
What size Allen wrench can adjust the door handle? I have lost mine and my handle is loose and needs to be tightened?
A 3/32 Allen wrench is required to tighten the handle.
I have the older version of this smart lock that I got about 8 years back . The battery compartment is all corroded and need to replace the lock. Is the latch compatible with this lock. No need to change the latch. Please confirm.
Your existing latch would need to be switched out for the new latch that's included with this set.
Can the interior lever be replaced with a knob handle?
Yes, you will need to order the interior trim separately. The compatible interior doorknob trims would be model # 971AYK MDT 514 and # 971PSK SQT 514.
Changed batteries and lock still won’t work
To fix this, try checking the lock's installation, performing a factory reset, door-rehanding process, and reprogramming the lock.
Can I replace the Halifax square door handle with a Halifax rectangle plate door handle? If so, which one would I need to buy?
The Halifax lever with rectangular plate would be compatible with the San Clemente handleset and would need to be ordered separately as the interior trim model 971HFL SQT 514.
Do they make an identical dummy for a double door to match?
This model is not available as a dummy version. An alternative option for your inactive door is to install a second model set without the latches.
Interior door handle fell off. Missing screw. Not even 2 years old.how to fix?
The set screw is reverse-threaded and is pre-installed in the lever shaft. To access the set screw, you will need to insert the Allen wrench into the hole of the inner side of the lever shaft. Rotate counter-clockwise to loosen or clockwise to tighten. Please see section 11 of the instructions in the link below for further assistance.
