This makes it a more enclosed, all-weather outdoor living space suited for dining, entertaining, or housing outdoor kitchens and furniture year-round. Pavilions will typically have a ridge at the top of the structure and will slope down on either 2 or four sides depending on the design.

The key trade-off is openness versus protection: pergolas feel lighter and more connected to the outdoors, while pavilions function closer to a true covered room outside.

Yes. With our pre-stain option, your structure is professionally stained at our factory before delivery. Standard color choices include Natural Cedar, Red, and Brown. Custom stain colors are also available. If you prefer, your structure can be left unfinished, and Western Red Cedar will naturally weather a rustic, silver-gray patina over time.

All of our structures will run through our staining process multiple times and will receive full stain penetration on all 4 sides of every timber with factory precision.

Our products are designed to meet the minimum code requirements of the current editions of the International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Building Code (IBC). In some areas, local building codes may require design modifications to meet higher wind speed, soil conditions, seismic conditions, or snow load standards. If such modifications are required, they may be subject to additional fees.

Once your order is confirmed, you can generally expect installation to be completed within 10-14 business days, subject to seasonality, permitting, and HOA approval if required. Actual on-site installation for a medium-sized structure is typically completed in one or two days. Your installer will arrive with your structure pre-cut and pre-stained (if chosen), minimizing disruption to your day, landscape, and build site location. Larger or more complex designs may require additional days.

Yes, we request that the purchasing customer be present at both the start and completion of installation. Upon completion, you'll be asked to complete a satisfaction survey. Our installers are happy to address any questions or concerns right on the spot.

Yes. For more experienced DIYers, we also offer pre-cut, pre-stained custom pergola "kits" that we can deliver directly to your home for self-installation.

Before finalizing your purchase, we recommend contacting your local building code authority and homeowner's association to check local requirements. Where a building permit is required, we will obtain it for an additional fee. Any additional inspections, engineered drawings, or municipal fees will also be added to your purchase, and all fees must be paid prior to installation.

Please note: we are not responsible for HOA approvals; that process is the homeowner's responsibility. However we will advise and facilitate that process with the home owner, including providing detailed elevation drawings that are typically required for most HOA applications.
