I won’t do an order like this again through Home Depot. The two windows installed have some differences in installation. I don’t know which one is right. Installers left some debris on side of house

As far as installers go home depot definitely goes with the lowest bidder. The door came on time and was installed on time. It sure is more flimsy than I expected it to be. The windows were very late but eventually showed up several weeks later. The installers put up some crappy looking wood for the inside window trim. One is actually fuzzy, another has some sort of orange marker on it and the trim is very uneven. It looks terrible. I would have said something to him when he was there but I was at work. Also one of the screens came with a hole in it. The installer said he would make a note and let the store know about it. I figured they would call or something and try to make it right for the hole in the screen and the windows being several weeks late. Not a word so far. The service after the sale was horrible at best. Since I'm filling out this survey before the store reached out for their lacking service I'll definitely be visiting the store manager. I hope home Depot doesn't treat all their customers like this.

The entire process from planning to installation of kitchen casement windows (3) was done in a very efficient and professional manner. Every member of the team from sales rep, tech rep (measurement), and installers did their job well. Installation and subsequent cleanup was perfect. I also liked the communication stream from Home Depot. I received email project status reports at every key stage in the process. Overall a very impressive performance that has earned Home Depot my repeat business on a future project.

We shopped around with other window companies and found The Home Depot to be very competitive and offered the best value. The process from start to finish was well communicated and executed. All personnel were knowledgeable about their product offering and clear with our expectations. The install part went smoothly with good outdoor weather in January to work in. Installers were professional and good at their craft.

I am happy with my windows, but I expected better project management from Home Depot. Home Depot's web-based project communication system is useless. I had to call at every step of the process to get real updates and confirmations. It seemed that action only occurred after my calls. (and I wouldn't say that calling every 3-4 weeks is pestering) Have my windows actually been ordered from the supplier? Is the problem with the building permit fixed? When can we set an install date? What time should I expect them to arrive on the install day? It was 3 months between ordering the windows and the install with zero communication of timelines or any real updates from Home Depot. In spite of assurances at the store and from the sales team, Home Depot does not have installation contractors in my area. The install team they sent was competent, but had to travel more than 3 hours to my house. Granted I live in a rural area, but the nearest store is only 40 minutes away and there are more than a dozen stores between where I live and where the contractors were based.

You can even choose from different wood species to match or complement your floors and trim. Our wood windows also feature a high-performance glass system to minimize heat transfer and damaging UV light. Maintenance and Repair

After choosing the right wood windows to install, complete with your choice of interior and exterior colors, hardware options, trim styles, and other custom features, it is critical to maintain them over time to help avoid expensive repairs or one-off replacements. While our wood windows are durable and carefully crafted, it is important to wipe down the frames periodically with a damp cloth. Warm water and a small amount of cleaning solution are sufficient. Once clean, be sure to inspect for cracks and a strong, intact seal around all parts of the window. Proper maintenance is vital to preserving the appearance of your wood windows and helps ensure a longer lifespan.
