The best team. They get it done!
Jersey City Home Depot is the best team out there. They treat me so well even on my bad days. I was so overwhelmed renovating my first house and Andrew and Terrance went as far as delivering my fences personally. I’ve never had anyone go above and beyond like that for me. Also thank you Terrance, Juan, Devon (floors) for all your help finding materials I needed. Loyal Home Depot customer for life.

    Lackluster Customer Service
    Needed some gutter seal which the Home Depot website showed there was 25 on hand. Went to the building materials area to check the bay location. Nothing there. Ok. Let’s try to get the department associates to help me out. No help at all. Just told me to check the same empty area for the product. Then I decided to go to the paint department to see if the product might be there, the woman at the desk was even less helpful. I just needed one tube of gutter seal to get a simple job done and I know we could have found it if someone there actually cared to help me out. But I’ll just have to make another trip to Jersey City after I’ve gone to a better store to purchase the product I need. Total waste of my time.

          Terrible delivery service - I am still not sure if I was charged the right amount because no one responded to my inquiry for itemized receipts & credits for their mis-shipped mistakes.
          I will never, ever use Home Depot delivery after my recent experience with them. I may never shop again at Home Depot. I placed an order, very careful to remove anything that would not ship together. I walked to the Home Depot by my house, and bought those items separately; staff was unclear/untrained how to ring me up (a simple purchase with a credit card). I was given a 10-hour delivery window. Before the delivery, I got a strange call from the store that my delivery would be incomplete because “stuff was on the pallet.” The delivery half-arrived with the full packing list attached. We called the store together, and the store told the driver to NOT close the ticket so they could pull and ship out the remainder. I waited several hours for the res of my shipment or a call back…finally, I called the store back, no one answered, and I got routed to their Contact center, where someone tried to help me, and told me that the order in their system was at one store, yet was shipped by another store (neither being the store closest to my house, which that morning HAD everything I’d needed on their shelves): she helped me to reach the store. But the person who’s promised to call me back with a resolution had left for the day. The person I spoke to was aware I hadn’t received my items, but said they didn’t know which items: I emailed the store(s) a detailed description of the situation with pictures of what I did receive and a detailed list of what I didn’t receive. I was told to call back in the morning. I called back in the morning, there was more confusion. I was told they were working to credit me for the items not received. I asked for an itemization to ensure it was correct (I have still not received this), I also was expecting to be credited/not charged for the shoddy multiple shipments. I was told I had to re-order my items that did my ship. I did, careful to request a single ship date the day after all items would be ready. The store changed it to same day, except for 2 items, with another 10-hour delivery window (which made me miss my friend’s birthday lunch). I received a delivery that afternoon, short-shipped by one item. I called and was on the phone for more than 1/2 hour waiting, to report the missing item. When I was told it would ship from another store with a waived delivery fee. I received the item while I was on hold with the store, but had been charged the delivery fee, which I again asked to be waived. Meanwhile, the last two items to be shipped arrived just yesterday. But my credit card did not have the credit noted. And the amounts seemed wrong on my card, so I called back last night and was on the phone again for more than an hour, requesting itemized receipts for ALL my transactions. Someone again tried to assist me with a credit for the missing items from my initial order. When the receipt came through, finally, this morning, the receipt was NOT itemized. I have no idea if anything was the right amount, or if I was credited for the right items/amounts, or had been charged for the 4 shipments for what should have been one complete order/shipment. Also disconcerting is that on one of the phone calls, I was told I received a large CASH return, which I did not - I purchased all online with my credit card, and have never stepped foot in this location. The person quickly apologized and said maybe she was reading the system wrong. But the entire situation is beyond shady. And I have emailed management several times asking for my transaction itemizations and NO ONE has responded to me. I want this escalated and for someone to actually get back to me with the itemizations. I feel like I need to get a new credit card after this as it all seems very shady.

                        Parking lot is terrible
                        The store itself is fine, it's a busy Home Depot, apparently they deal with a lot of shoplifting and bad people so it can be frustrating. The stocking could def be better, just like it most Home depots. The parking lot is the real problem, there are a few areas where people just drive straight through the parking spots and drive all over the place like absolute maniacs, I think it's just the culture of Jersey City and Bayonne area but also the parking lot itself has no cement barriers in certain places where they should be. I have no doubt that an accident or someone getting hit will eventually happen at that parking lot. According to the store the parking lot and store are built on some sort of hazard site and so improving the parking lot is not possible.

                            Trying to get HOMEDEPOT to fix my window as the balancer snapped and almost broke my hand. I purchased these oversized windows with life time parts and labor.. Suddenly they stop honoring my warranty..

                                  Profiling at an all time high
                                  My husband purchased a fridge which didn't fit and we had to exchange. We reject the delivery as instructed by HD and 5 days later on 6/25/2022 go to the store to get the correct size and schedule a new delivery. Josh in appliances helped the nice white couple but when my husbands and I walked up he took a deep breath didnt even want to look at the paid invoice assuming we were trying to get one over. He called a manager without us requesting one and When said manager Andrew came up we got the same nonchalant attitude and were told we wouldn't be able to fix the issue today although we had an available credit that neither Josh no Andrew took the time to look up. At this point the situation is upsetting because we are being profiled. Until a Nice man or color Nooman took over (who was also a manager) and was able to confirm the $2210 credit on file and allow us to provide the correct model and update delivery date. From the beginning this is what we explained to Josh and Andrew who should not work customer service or retail if this is how they treat people. We weren't stealing from HD, the same way it was easy for them to accept $2210 cash smile and thank us for the business with no issues is the same respect we should have gotten when trying to resolve an issue. But to be told you're loud your done and getting kicked out of the store when you didn't even attempt to help me and then you circle us as were actually getting help to see if we actually get kicked out is atrocious. Thank you to Nooman who was a godsend and actually took the time to look into the issue and confirm we were telling the truth as well as helping us with the re order and scheduling a delivery date. Also there was another young lady (also a POC) who witnessed what happened with Josh but I didn't catch her name, I want to thank you for standing up for us and apologize that you were now target because I saw you come back to the front to speak to Andrew in regards to Josh as well. Home Depot please retain your Caucasian staff, this is really no acceptable when almost 85% of the staff is black as well as the customers and they have to deal with stuff like thuis

                                    Never changes
                                    Every time I go to this Home Depot in Jersey City there’s never one associate who is willing to ask me if I need help! Every associate ignores you. I needed to buy a door could not because no one was In the location. Every associate is so rude! I spent over $700 today never got help but I was asked by 5 people at the door for my receipt! Cool! They are hiding at the exit! I witnessed a manager yelling at customer on the sales floor! Your store is a joke! Unfortunately!! I needed my AC

                                              Compared to other home depot around. This store which I've been going to for 20yrs have lost its customer service appeal. Staffs aren't very approachable or friendly like other home depots anywhere. I feel like I'm a thief when I go here the way they look at you and not say a word just up and down stare and leave. Not so much as a hi how are you today. Another thing for a big store it doesn't have things other home depot have, if they do its in bad quality or returns. So I will have to travel to the next town to get what I need. Next survey I will add a video on what I mean.
