Q:I bought one of these 'low profile' flo lamp sockets and the bulb could not fit because it was too close to the wiring cover. Do you have a high profile T12 lamp socket for F40 (4 ft) florescent lamps?

Answer This Question
A: It can depend on the socket. Some have a small pin release that can be depressed using a paper clip to release the wires. If there is no pin release you should be able to remove the wires using pliers and pulling and twisting carefully to disengage the wires from the socket.

Q:Which product are you selling here. The main product image or the reference pictures on the left? And what are the actual dimensions of the product? The dimensions referenced on this page must be of the packaging?? There's no way this tombstone is 1"x6.5"...

A: The actual dimensions of the lampholder are 1.75" in height, 0.75" length, and the width is 1.25" wide and 1" width on the main body. The first image is incorrect, the subsequent pictures are the correct pictures for this lampholder. Thank your for pointing out the incorrect image - we will get that corrected

Answer This Question
A: And some LED replacements that don't require a ballast have you rewire so that there is power on one end and neutral on the other while some provide for both hot and neutral on the same end using a non-shunted lamp holder. Be sure to read the instructions that come with the LED replacement bulbs you are getting!

A: The LED lamps do not use ballasts
by|Apr 8, 2022
A: Depending on the LED bulb you use will determine whether or not the ballast stays or needs to be removed.

Q:Does this have white electrical leads? I'm replacing a magnetic ballast with an electronic one and understand the old sockets have built-in circuit interrupter no longer needed with electonic ballasts.

A: You are better off using the old wire in the lamp ends and use wire nuts to connect the new ballast to the the old wire, matching the colors correctly.
