This unit measures Dimensions: H 29.5, W 37.5 in, D 2 in, the width for this unit is larger that the actual opening you have and the height is smaller than the actual unit height. A:  Hello, Our fireplace glass door sets cannot hang from an elevated opening. The weight of the door must be supported from beneath, so it must rest on the bottom of the hearth. The brackets that come in the hardware pack are not made to hold the weight of the door sets; they are made to keep the doors from falling forward.
