A:  No vent that I can see. Of course, the fireplace chamber is vented up the chimney and there are two sets of doors inside the house - two screened doors inside and bi-fold glass doors outside. If we have a fire, we open the bi-fold glass doors as needed to control the draft. I'm sure it isn't air-tight

A:  No, there is no vent. My prior doors also had a vent. Maybe the manufacturer realized a vent is not necessary, or is just window dressing.

A:  The detailed specs of each of the sizes available will tell you the fireplace "opening size " range that each of their products will fit . I could have used the medium size but opted for the large size because I wanted to match the fireplace opening size as closely as possible to the window width on the insert . In case your interested , this product is very well made , looks great and is well thought out . The glass doors fold out of the way ,and the mesh inner doors work great and are a nice fit . I particularly like the magnetic closure .
