A: Hello. Thank you for your question. The panel can work as a white board, but if you leave a dry erase mark on it for an extended period of time, it may stain.

A: Perhaps if one places an erasable film on it. But the surface itself may not serve as a white board

A: it's very heavy and even though it's erasable it would probably leave a 'shadow' of what you wrote on it, lysol will remove anything off the white board including pencil marks etc. So if you use it as a white board, I'd use pencil to write on it and lysol to clean it off

Answer This Question
A: Melamine is quite durable and waterproof, which is even better than water resistant and will not have any effect to a water spill, however, if water trickles to the particleboard then that could potentially lead to damage.

A: The melamine surface is waterproof. The raw edges of exposed mdf will absorb water and cause the panel to warp/swell/fail

Q:Are these available in any other colors? I?m specifically looking for black. If not, could these be painted? What would be the best approach to painting? I have black edge banding, so I?d just be painting the front and back of the panel.

A: As far as i know it only comes in white i see no reason why you can't paint it the surface is a hard laminate so just sand it and use a good quality oil based paint or spray paint and you should be fine.

A: Hello. Thank you for your question. White is the only color available. The melamine coating does not lend itself to painting. If you are looking to paint a panel black, I suggest looking at a ¾” MDF panel.
