This drill will definitely get the job done, especially with the 5AH battery! Great buy if you do not need a Drill/Impact combo.

There's nothing like a cordless sander, and an orbital one at that. This sander is extremely effective and easy to use. It includes a wheel to adjust the speed of the rotating disc, which can come in handy for certain types of woods or desired sanding speed. I can't stress enough how crucial it is for a sander to be cordless. You often need to get into odd positions, and have to move the unit back and forth in long strokes. A cord only makes these scenarios annoying and/or difficult to accomplish. There's also a nice little removable dust bag, so there's virtually no dust to choke on coming from this sander. And it's very easy to click off and empty. Overall, highly-recommended, very easy-to-use sander.

Used daily for commercial electrician work. Everything works the way it should. The 20v is definitely more powerful than the 18v and lasts longer.

This combo was a great deal with the 5ah battery. This is my first XR drill and you can feel the power difference compared to the regular Dewalt Max drills. I think three settings for the led light is kind of a funny feature, but hey maybe one day I’ll need to adjust it! The bag now has a sweet rubber “Made in the USA” logo which is cool.

Have used this alot and does a great job. Pros and cons to having it battery operated. I like the flexabilty of not messing around with a power cord, but I go through batterys really quickly... I dont know if the sander drains the battery really quickly or if i need to buy new batterys! I like the setting to change power output from low to more powerful.

Mostly happy with this drill. Has plenty of power. Speed is good. Nice weight and size. Comfortable to use. Down side is I didn't know it doesn't have a bit holder. This is an optional accessory. Not so sure it's made in usa. Bag has a big patch on outside that says made in usa then inside says made in asia.

Power was never a problem, but they break easily and DeWALT doesn’t stand behind their tools with their warranty. Go Milwaukee or Makita if possible, but I’d even take a rigid over this.

It is great not having a cord to drag around and trip on! Looking forward to expanding my DeWalt cordless collection in the future, as they are great quality tools.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this sander on an impulse while I was shopping for sandpaper for my current project (floating entertainment center with cherry). I wish I had bought it so much sooner. The selling point for me was the 20V Max platform as I already have other tools and I was growing tired of using extension cords. The weight is very balanced and is extremely easy to operate.

"20volt Magic" is what they should call this puppy. Tyler said the corded version would work better, but then he tripped over the cord. So, battery power it is. I use this to sand down small projects around the house and even have a photo to show some of the work it does. Not bad and yes it even hammers in the nails. Good multi-tool and no cords to trip you up. Also works great with other lithium batteries from the Walt. The dust bag is really small tho and doesn't hold a lot. So I just take it off and complain to myself about how much saw dust there is.

I bought this sander to replace a couple less expensive ones that broke. So I upgraded. I’ve had it for a little while now and I love it. It’s a definite step up in battery life, ergonomics, comfort, control, and performance.

The Dewalt 20V XR Random Orbit Sander DCW210B was very easy to assemble works great! Fits in your hand perfect with controls at yourfingertips. I would definitely recommend this sander.

Sander doesn’t want to release the batteries after the release is pushed. Still comes out with a little force though.

Absolute must have. Power and comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over time have encountered situations where a sander would make a situation easier and got this a few weeks back. Used it three different times and it does well. Also got the battery separately that fits it. Will last slightly over 30 minutes on a full charge at full speed. I like it and hope it last for years to come. The only situation maybe to work on would be the switch. Apperantly I didn’t have cut off well and a few seconds after I set down and let loose of it it took off running. It swerved to the left then to the right I tackled it haha just kidding. But it did start up running after I sit it down. :)

Been wanting this since it came out. Finally got it and glad i did. I mainly make stuff for my kids out of wood. Wagons,signs for their walls,their names,toys,team logos etc etc. This makes it so easy to just whip out and sand away. Has plenty of power and uses 8 hole orbital sandpaper. I bought the bare tool for 119.99. Comes with nice dust catcher that easily goes on and off.Has variable speed which is nice. Happy i picked it up. Grab one you wont be disapointed

I love this new cordless sander. As a woodworker and weekend carpenter I have used my fair share of different Sanders and dewalt has always produced quality products. This sander is no exception. It has plenty of power and the fact that it is cordless makes it a powerful weapon in my tool arsenal. The only drawback I have with this product is its ergonomics. My previous dewalt palm Sanders fit the hand very well and are comfortable in multiple handling positions. This sander however is a little on the heavy side (even without the battery) and it is larger than dewalts previous palm Sanders. This makes for an awkward fit in the hand in comparison to other models. I'm sure that with time I will adjust to its size. Overall it's a great product, worth every penny!

This is the best cordless sander on the market This sander is extremely well balanced and has power. It has a variable speed option which is really nice to have it also has a brake built in that stops the sanding pad extremely fast that way as soon as you set it down it wont take off on you. The only thing I do not like about this sander is that if you want to hook this up to your shop vac you will need to buy a special dewalt adaptor that allows you to do so.

A genuine game changer. This has essentially the same power as the corded version (with speed adjustment) but no cord. Seems like a simple difference but this will be the one you reach for every time. I have a dozen handheld power sanders but this is the one I keep in my truck, for wherever I go. I couldn't be happier with a sander, and I could not recommend this more highly.

We do lots of woodworking DIY and also build items (ie Wine Carriers) for sale. We have made the decision to invest in cordless replacement tools as that is definitely the way of the future woodworker. This is far better than any of the corded models we have , it lasts forever, even on hard woods and plastics and it is so easy because you are not fighting the cord. You don't have to take your project to the electrical outlets for these tools, just take the tools to the projects. Try just one and you will be amazed at how well they work. We are saving to buy the cordless router and will let you know how that works also.

this sander is FANTASTIC !. I have been looking for this for the past two years. I am tired of tripping over electrical cords. I saw this in the store ad on Oct. 31, and waited in line while they unpacked them, and bought one !. It is well balanced. for the best balance, i recommend the 2AH battery. it will handle the larger batteries, but is slightly off-balance for me with them, and heavier. That is not a FAULT of the machine, htat is just because of battery weight. so I bought a couple 2AH batteries on sale, and i use these for my one-handed dewalt tools - the cordless nailer, the orbital sander, and the brushless drill, make it easier to operate. actually the 2AH battery lasts for a while; for longer sanding, the bigger batteries are fine. it sands very well. the power switch is easy-on easy-off (prior cordless one was harder to operate, under the rubber protector. The BATTERY slot is a cool design, it has a rubber gasket in it to prevent dust from entering the contacts. i adapted my shop vacuum system to this. 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 flexible pvc coupling, FENCO, home depot model P1056-125 plumbing adapter fits onto this unit very nicely. it ALSO fits onto the dewalt 7 1/4 inch circular saw dust collector port;, AND it fits (loosely) onto the dewalt biscuit cutter. for the Biscuit cutter, you can add material to the tool port, small rubber overlay, or something, electrical tape wound around, to build it up, and then this adapter fits perfectly. THEN, you can take the other end of this adapter, and fit it onto any of your dust collection hoses, make custom size adapters, etc. the dust bag attaches Ok, and is fair at collecting dust; same as other corded/cordless uints, but an attached vacuum is much better. variable speed works very well. Power is more than adequate. the finish (with 220 grit) is very smooth even with a dust collection tube on it (I use 1 1/2 inch sump pump tubing, about 6 feet, and this connects to my actual vacuum tube. This sump tubing is very flexible, allows easy mobility of the sander while working. this same tubing can be slipped onto your dewalt portable vacuum; you can come up with some type of flexible adaptation to match the tubes overall VERY nice, and very flexible ! Dewalt, you did a great job !

I couldn't wait for this sander to come out. Dewalt is finally getting on board with adding to their 20v line (cordless router is coming out Spring 2019). Dewalt makes great products and for the home woodworking hobbyist like me, I needed this random orbit sander. I use a 4.0 amp battery and haven't timed it, but it seems like the battery will never run out. It's been on 2 bars for a long time, it seems. And to top it all off, when I turn it off, the sander stops immediately. Not slow down to a stop. It just stops. It's amazing. If you are already vested in the Dewalt platform, this is a must get. If you're not invested in it, then you should buy the kid because this thing is sturdy and powerful.
