I had two cabinets. Thought these were the same but they are narrower by about 6 inches. But to save over $100 is worth it. East to assemble and makes garage much cleaner. I now have 4 cabinets and everything in its place.

Well built product and easy to assemble. The box it came in had some outer damage so I was concerned about the cabinet itself inside the shipping box. Once I got it home and opened it up, I could see that it was very well packaged and there was no damage at all to the actual cabinet. I got it assembled in 30 to 45 minutes. The 4 feet are height adjustable which is great for garage floors that have a slight pitch. Plan to buy another but possibly not as wide since this one fit most everything I had to store. The 18" depth was also a plus for me as it matched the depth of a couple of other Husky products that I also recently purchased. I also have limited space on my garage side walls.

Cauton: Two Different designs for the same Part Number
Older (better) version: Has thicker shelfs and full array of pegboard holes on the doors. Newer version: the shelfs are so thin you better keep some if that left-over cardbard to protect them. Doors only have a few sets of pegboard holes which are often blocked by the limited shelf positions. Holes for electrcal connections are now knock-outs. Newer version sold for $50 less so I thought I was getting a deal. (The online pdf manual is for the old version). I had the same thing happen with my Huskey workbenches when i puchased two a few months apart.

So the fact that I got a request to review this was kind of funny because I was explaining to my son how great the cabinet was. He asked me what are you doing a freaking review on it. You don't have to sell me it looks good. The cabinet is well-made in very easy to assemble. The quality of the paint is great and the materials they use for hinges and locking mechanism is very sturdy. The metal pegboard inside the door is a nice feature, hung am I frequently used tools on both doors. The adjustable legs are strong and a nice feature since I put it up in the corner of my garage with a concrete was not necessarily that even. I just ordered my second one.

    Shelf Adjustment Options Very Limited
Overall the quality of the cabinet seemed fine for the price range and was well packaged. I did not encounter the door alignment issue that many mentioned, I was able to get mine to line up by adjusting the feet. But, the combination of the fact that the unit only has 3 adjustable shelves, and there are very limited adjustment options, makes me regret this purchase. I wish that I had noticed that the adjustment slots were not continuous on this product. On average the slots available to place a shelf are about 8" apart. So, you can choose from a very narrow shelf height, or a very large shelf height, but not anything in between. To make it worse, the adjustment slots are not uniformly spaced along the full height, so I could not find any combination of slots that would give uniform shelf spacing. For a product where the entire purpose is storage, the ability to adjust the shelving makes a huge difference in the functionality. In hindsight I also realized that there is a big difference in only getting 3 shelves, which this product has, vs 4 that some other brands have. The spacing of the shelving turned out to be much taller than my needs. I'll check to see if there is a way to order additional shelves. If you plan to store large bulky items this likely won't be an issue for you. But, if you plan to use it for smaller items you'll end up with a lot of wasted space. I was very surprised that I had not seen the shelf spacing issue mentioned in reviews so I went back and read through more pages of reviews. I had to get to about page 8 of the reviews before I started seeing reviews mentioning it. I wish I had noticed them prior to purchasing.

Ordered six of these and two short cabinets and as mentioned in the other review Home Depot knocked it out of the park. All these cabinets total 8 were delivered without damage, came with all parts and went together for a perfect end result. I could not be happier and all exceeded my expectations. Thanks Home Depot unbelievable and the quality is good. Kevin

      Beware the Black Friday deal
I bought two cabinets. One was normal and actually quite impressive. The Black Friday unit was hot garbage. These cabinets are sold as the one product. Same serial number and item number. The Black Friday units are built considerably more flimsy than the regular ones. Again, these are sold as the SAME product. The shelves on the more poorly made unit are made of thin sheet metal, whereas they are usually made far more thick and heavy. The back panels are entirely different and more poorly made as well.

The only reason I'm giving these cabinets 5 stars is because there wasn't an option for 10 stars! Seriously they are a breeze to assemble, the fit and finish is awesome. They are heavy duty and I'd say definitely a lifetime type of product! Me and my wife assembled two of these cabinets in less than two hours. Joe T Mobile Al

        Exceeded expectations
I expected the product to be damaged, bent or scratched but it was perfect. Also, assembly was very easy and it’s sturdy for the price range. The leveling feet made it very easy to level, much better than other cabinets I own. Love the pegboard idea but the pegs I had from years ago fall out easily. 5 stars this time Depot.

Heavy deliv pkg. Much assy, but EXCELLENT done!
Great, strong cab. Loved assy. So did my wife & grandson. Stores alot of stuff large & small out of sight. Lockable. Very durable finish. Could use more shelf mounting points for greater spacing flexibility. Carton very heavy upon arrival. Have delivered to assy space eg garage. 1-2 people reqd for assy. Some pieces heavy esp doors. If you use wheels eg Husky 5" install on base unit first. Swivel wheels in back... Stationary wheels with locks in front. Pay attention to eg hinges on side panels, eg bolt holes alignment with threaded bolt receivers. Battery powered drill driver is handy. Lots of hex head bolts to spin in. During assy, cab can tip fwd, so "heads up". Same for post assy. Secure cab to studs in wall against which it is placed. Large wood screws with washers through vent slots high up in rear work well. Load dense, heavy stuff low and toward the rear... Light, bulky stuff high and toward the front.

The unit is well-designed and fit together perfectly. It was easy to put together and only required one person to put together and stand up (although two people may have made the job quicker and easier). two construction comments - 1. after putting the legs on the unit, set it in the desired location and level the feet without any sides on the unit. Makes leveling much easier and if you need to make any minor adjustments later, it's much easier to level without having the full weight of the cabinet to lift up. 2. per the instructions - DO NOT tighten all bolts on the back of the unit for the panels until you stand the unit upright and confirm if the doors close correctly or not. You may need to further adjust the unit to be level (both sideways and back to front) BEFORE then adjusting the unit (by grabbing the edges and moving the top portion) to get to the point where the unit is square and the doors open and close correctly (and the magnetic latches catch). If you tighten everything as you go, the unit will probably not be square and may lead to door closing issues. The only bolts to tighten initially are the ones for the bottom legs and bottom part of rear enclosure. Remaining back panels, sides and sides should be tightened during final fit. The unit is sturdy and shelves go in easily. Fit and finish is good and item fits a lot of materials. The doors both have pegboard holes to allow for use of standard pegboard hooks. I have not made full use of those yet. Each shelf has a hole in the back of the unit if you want to run power cords through them in order to charge items while in the unit. I have not used this feature. The unit can be locked, but I have not used this feature yet. One thing about the mechanism to attach the unit to the garage wall (stud). It is a strap mechanism I found hard to place and use. Instead I bought a thick zip tie and threaded that through the cabinet and the wall bracket. Since my unit sits level on the floor, the bracket is only needed for the odd situation where somehow the cabinet would tilt forward (e.g. if a child stepped on a shelf or somehow the unit was pulled forward toward a person). This will prevent that from happening and is very easy to remove and was easier to install. Very happy with unit and it goes well with related Husky mobile workbench. I also bought two overhead cabinets of the same look to complete my garage workspace, but have not put those up yet. I hope they go together and install as easily as this unit.

The Husky Cabinet arrived without any shipping damage due to excellent packaging. The quality for the price was excellent. The 48" width was perfect fit and allow organization for all the loose tools and items that were spread throughout the garage. Exceeded my expectations and would definitely buy again when on sale.

This is a great cabinet for the home garage, beyond those run-of-the-mill cabinets or shelves you could buy at other big-box stores. The cabinet is very good value for the price considering its sturdiness, size, and construction. Note that it does come fully disassembled so plan to have the space near where you're going to actually put the cabinet cleared for the assembly process. This is both a good and bad thing - bad because you have to spend more time than just unboxing to get it ready for use, but good because the assembly process will prove how well constructed it is. The instructions were very simple and the entire cabinet is assembled with just one type of fastener (tool provided). The box everything is shipped in was VERY well packed with plenty of cardboard and foam packing to protect it from damage. Not a single piece of metal in the entire cabinet was damaged even in the slightest. Hats off to whoever designed its packing! That said, the cabinet very nearly earned 5 stars had it not been for a couple of issues I ran into (below): First, I had difficulty getting the frame of the cabinet to square up correctly such that the doors aligned with each other. This is largely due to the frame being bolted together with somewhat loose tolerances in the through-holes. They weren't off by much - maybe only 1/8" at most - but enough to annoy me. I tried adjusting things the best I could, but if I had better tools available I am confident I could have locked it in better. With the cabinet being fully bolted together as opposed to riveted, it leaves each person the option to adjust things to their liking. A nice feature, albeit one that comes only from the fact the cabinet requires assembly, but I would have preferred something integrated into the cabinet's design that would ensure it stayed closer to square during assembly - a nitpicky issue, of course. Second, there aren't nearly enough slots to put the shelving hangers as there should be for a cabinet in this price range. Cheaper, less attractive cabinets have as much shelving height adjustment as one could want the entire height of the cabinet. However, this cabinet has about 8 or 9 heights any of the 3 shelves can be put at, some of which have nearly 10" of space between them. This can lead to situations where shelves have to be spaced out further than they otherwise need to be to fit items into the cabinet, and thus leaves the other shelves closer than you may want. While I could understand limiting shelf height options to retain as much structural strength as possible, the seemingly random placement limited number of options proved very frustrating. This above all else is the primary reason I knocked a star off its rating. Had the cabinet had at least 4 more height options available to use it would have received 5 stars. Husky really needs to reconsider its shelving design to add this for future buyers as it would be VERY appreciated by all. Lastly, the shipping and delivery of this cabinet left a LOT to be desired. Both Home Depot and XPO Logistics (HD's freight, last-mile delivery carrier) share fault here, however I felt it not worthy of docking another star as the issues aren't specific to the cabinet itself. In short, it took Home Depot nearly 2 weeks to hand the cabinet over to XPO for delivery in spite of their tracking sending me an email saying it was "out for delivery" (a lie). Once XPO had it, things moved faster - I received a call notifying me they would call once the cabinet was on a truck and within 30 minutes of arriving. Much to my surprise a day later, the truck arrived without said phone call and I was helpless to do anything about where it was placed since I wasn't home at the time (the phone call would have solved this). Thankfully the guys who delivered it took good care to make sure it was in a safe place for me to deal with. Funnily enough, XPO called me a week AFTER it was delivered to notify me the cabinet would be delivered that day. Great job. As mentioned before, I won't knock a star off for this, but the entire processing/delivery process could stand to be greatly improved upon.

Good cabinet. Easy to assemble. I built 3 of this type & was able to zip through the 3rd one without looking at the instructions. Seems sturdy enough & well made. Some assembly tips: It has you attaching the sides to the bottom first. It doesn't say so but do not tighten the screws. After you attach the top, square up the cabinet while it lays on its back and then tighten the bottom screws. After you've attached the back panels, stood the cabinet up and attached the doors - make sure its standing on a level floor - push the cabinet side to side a little to get the doors to line up across the top then clamp the doors together with vise grips (see photo). This keeps the cabinet square while you tighten all the screws in back. Another tip - it's much easier to move into place without the doors or shelves attached. I also built a set of half width shelves out of assorted lumber so I could have shelves on one side and the full height open on the other side for long handled tools, etc. and I attached 2 x 4s across the top of the tall side so I could hang items (see photo).

            Door alignment
I purchased two husky cabinets. On both sets, the doors do not align properly and on one set the left door is about half an inch from the magnet that keeps the door shut. No way to adjust as the bottom of the door is touching the bottom of the cabinet. It would be a pain to take it apart and return.
