Hard to start may break a hand with pull back....
Hard to start may break a hand with pull back. Digs pretty well gets stuck with small interference. Adequate at bedt.

This auger is a beast. It chewed right through the central Texas clay dirt. Didn’t bog down at all. Took a while to start the first time but ran really well once it warmed up.

Hard to start
Hard to start , It's like going to the gym to get it to crank but when it finally starts it does great.

It was a hassle to start. Once started it wouldn’t stay running for long. I returned it to the store to exchange it thinking it was defective e but they didn’t have another in stock.

Garbage
I've used this thing five or six times now it's always been hard to start except for the very first time. ever since then I try to take it out probably every week or two it has been ridiculously difficult to start keep running. I the only people I would recommend this two are people I don't like. this is absolute trash. the on/off button stuck in the on position. now it won't start at all. I hate this thing

Better off using a post hole digger
The auger was lightweight and easy to assemble. But, I was only able to dig three holes before it overheated. Then had to leave in shaded area for 30 minutes before using again. I returned the first one because of problems and had the same problems with the second. I ended up using a post hole digger to dig the other 90 holes.

The machine appears to work well only when the tank is full, the design of this fuel tank is poorly engineered, it should be either: Vertical and narrow (I understand it may not be practical) or it should have baffles so the fuel does not slush around bubbling, and sucking air- which then stops! frustrating to deal with only a 1/4 of the top tank!

Good strong machine. Worth the price difference from Harbor Freight machine. Legend Force was a replacement. We have some hard, packed soil. It cuts through pretty quickly. It made planting bare-root trees a breeze. Next up - flag pole. Starting could be easier. Usually need multiple pulls to get it going.
