We had a 12 year old Rinnai that we replaced with the smart Rinnai. We LOVE the fact that we have hot water almost instantly.

Recirculation via crossover valve to cold supply line at the furthest faucet is very noisy. Don’t bother buying a recirculating unit unless you are also installing a dedicated recirculation line.

I spent close to $3000 for installation of a new Rinnai unit because our old unit had started to have issues. Since installed, the licensed plumbing company that installed the Rinnai has been to our house 10 times in the last 4 months because the unit is constantly shutting off for Code 12's.

Had the Tankless Hot Water Heater installed during the construction of the house and have enjoyed it for about 8 months now. We really appreciate the features of endless hot water and recirculation for faster delivery of hot water to the faucets. The recirculation mode does use more energy (we use LPG) and the sound of the water re-circulating is sometimes annoying, but it is worth it when considering the faster delivery of hot water (5-7 seconds vs 2.5-3 minutes without the recirc mode). Both these features are why we purchased it and it definitely exceeds our expectations!

Takes 1+ minute to get hot water to our furthest shower. 5000 square feet house. Otherwise love it run showers while washing clothes never run out of hot water.

Absolutely hated the new RSC199iP tankless. Before installing this, we had great water pressure. Now, it is a trickle and we can't take a shower while anything else is on. We had it installed a few months ago, and we're replacing it with an older Rinnai model, RU199iP

I put one in each of my houses. I had two 50 gallon Hot water tanks in one house and when one went out, I decided to change to the Tankless. The second house had a 17 year old tank in the back of the basement and we only are there a few weeks a month. I always a feared it would spring a leak. even with water shut off, it still holds 50 gallons of water that could leak while not there. I reacearched all the units and found Rinnai to be the one I wanted. go for the 199 btu. It is not that much more but you will be haqppy with the results. I have had both units for 6 months now and they meet my expectations. The only complait is the remote thermostat and controller. You think in todays technology they could WIFI it so I could control it fron anywhere. Especially having a couple houses I would like to be able to have access. So Rinnai get with the program and make a WIFI unit! Thatys why only 4 stars

Very happy with the purchase of this tankless water heater. For the price I would have expected it to come with the WIFI module but went ahead and purchased it separately and it is awesome being able to schedule the recirculation times. With this feature we get hot water at the tap within seconds. I would recommend this water heater.

The feature that is most beneficial to our family is the built in recirculation pump. It only takes seconds to have hot water at the faucet.

Set it and forget it. Love it works great. The only negative is I can hear when it is running. Ours is located in the attic.
