I like the Rennai 180,000 BTU tankless water heater (indoor, natural gas). It supplies steady flow, constant temperature hot water, and it is far superior in that regard to a circa-2004 model Bosch tankless water heater of similar specifications that the Rennai replaced. I installed the unit myself, and found the instructions detailed and clear for a fairly easy installation.There are two areas where improvement could be made.1) The bottom surface of the tankless water heater unit is fairly generous in size; however, Rennai has crowded the cold-water supply, hot-water out, condensate water out, and pressure relief valve water out pipeline fittings very close together, and it is a bit tricky to make these connections and route the needed pipes to their required sources and destinations. These pipe fittings should be further apart on the bottom of the water heater.2) My Home Depot did not stock or have a floor model of this hot water heater. I ordered the unit online, and delivery to the store required 10 days of cold-water-at-home waiting. Most people really would rather not wait 10 days for a hot water heater, especially for replacement of a failed unit.

Seems to create enough hot water but exhaust fan is very noisy. Not happy at all with that. Not sure what to do.

The water heater is smaller and there's no pilot to light.

Natural gas is the way to go, the family never complains about running out of hot water while other appliances are in use.

The water heater was preinstalled in my new home. My wife and I were very disappointed to find that the water heater only does really hot water well, which is great if you like very hot showers. If you want just warm water, you will instead be greeted with very cold water about five minutes into your shower. This is apparently very common with this product, which is disappointing.

I wanted this so i could fill my hot tub with hot water and get into it the same night... I love this so much more than i thought i would. It's quiet and the water is hot. It takes some time to get it to the bathroom further from the water heater but it is so nice when it gets there. As you can tell i love it. And my son who recently got one is the one to convince me. I'm glad he did!

Around 2 months so far it ok long wait for it to get hot then you think your adjusted and it needs to be adjusted again after that it’s good.

I like the on demand feature, not wasting gas to heat water at low times. However, I can't believe the time it takes for the hot water to get to the source. Waste of water. Also have noticed a fluctuation in temp, during showers.

I did not know that the tankless water heater would make noise like a dishwasher. It is installed on an interior wall and the noise fills my kitchen and living area every time the hot water is turned on in any room.

Provides consistent hot water, just like it is supposed to. I have had no problems with this unit.

We like there is no tank taking up room in our garage. Sometimes cools down for no apparent reason. We’ve had to turn it off and on again to get warm water in the shower. It takes a really long time for warm water to get to the farthest faucet. We’ve only had our home for five months so it will be interesting to see what happens during other months of the year. Generally we are satisfied with our Rannai.

unit has been in use for 4 months now. PROS: continuous hot water, energy usage almost cut in half, and extra space in garage where w/h tank used to be. CONS: takes a little longer to get hot water to kitchen and bathroom sinks, but that can mostly be mitigated with a little planning.

Had it for 2 weeks. Don’t know why it kicks in when I flush toilet. ??

This is our 2nd unit. Make sure you follow the servicing instructions. We did not know that you had to have it serviced annually. Big investment do do the maintenance!

I called the RINNI hot line to find out how to adjust the temperature. I have had it 6 months. How long it takes to get hot water. It does meet my expectations

The customer service and water heater are excellent. Very reliable.

Cheaper monthly gas bills, more space available in garage than a hot water tank and delivers as expected. Installed a few months ago.

Had it about a month and it is awesome! The water takes a little longer than having a tank of ready made hot water, but the savings and fact that it is unlimited make up for it.

We have had ours for a few months. It has overloaded a couple of times since we put it in but overall it works great

Just got it a month ago the only thing we don't like it isn't hot right away but that is ok

THE PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD EXCEPT FOR THAT IT TAKES A FEW SECONDS MORE, BEFORE WE GET THE HOT WATER AT THE USAGE POINT..

Rinnai tankless water heater exceeded my expectations. WiFi capable but need to purchase additional equipment to connect.

Waht I like the most is Hot water stays hot no matter how many people are taking showers at the same time. What I dinslike is the first users of hot water need to ket the faucet run for about 2 to 3 minutes before water is hot. We only had the unit for 2 months and it does meet my expectations.

3 months . I have not used the features of he unit since installed . Like it thus far and is reliable

There is an endless availability of hot water. It takes awhile to get to the furthest room from the heater. I have had it about a month. I am satisfied with the heater and it does meet my expectations
